2012级B level（泉州校区）第二学期口语测试题

说明：

本套测试题共10题，考核目的为学生的口语对话能力。由任课教师提前发给学生进行准备（题目范围标注在每道题目之后，学生可参考课上及课后内容）。

口语测试在教学17周进行，考试时学生2人一组，由任课教师随机指定题目进行口语对话（学生不得自行选择）。

学生准备时间为1-2分钟，对话时间为3分钟。教师根据学生的对话内容、语音语调、时间控制等方面进行评分。

口语考试共15分，直接计入期末听说课卷面成绩。

1.A and B are roommates. A says he/she would like to keep a pet in the

dormitory, because he/she thinks having a pet may help him/her to feel less lonely. But B doesn't think so, because he/she thinks having an animal in the dormitory would be troublesome. So B tries to persuade A to give up this idea. (Unit 5)

2.A and B are going out for dinner. A wears a fashionable dress/suit

while B is in school uniform. A states that fashion fills every corner of campus and it’s a way to show college students’ image and taste. B expresses worries because going for fashion may add to the financial burden of parents. At last, A and B agree that study must be the top priority.(Unit 6)

3.A is reading a brochure full of ads. B thinks advertising costs too

much money and customers have to pay more because of the ads. A thinks advertising tells people about products and it’s something unavoidable. B argues that some ads are misleading and exaggerated.

4.A likes gentle music, such as soft music and country music. B likes

some modern music, which would be stronger and heavier, such as rock & roll or heavy metal. A and B exchange their ideas about the tastes of music and the effect of music in their life. (Unit 1)

5.A gets a dog as a birthday gift from his/her parents. B comes to visit A

and they are talking about keeping a pet. A says it has given him/her a lot of pleasure and highly recommends it. B worries that having a dog will distract him/her from the studies. A argue that having a pet would bring more benefits. (Unit 5)

6.A is feeling really upset because he/she has just failed in an important

exam. B hears of this and comes to A with one of A’s favorite CDs.

Together A&B listen to the music and A starts to feel a little better.

Then A&B talk about the magical influence of music on people’s moods. (Unit 1)

7.A meets a young man/woman in the street and fells she/he was deeply

attracted by him/her. When A tells his/her friend (B) about his /her experience, B asks whether A thinks it is true love or just attraction by the appearance. A has no idea about it. So A&B have a talk about their criteria about choosing the future spouse. (Unit 3)

8.Two friends are watching TV together. A wants to switch to another

channel because he/she cannot put up with those TV commercials. B praises the Adidas TV ads and the Coca Cola commercial. A argues that he doesn’t trust ads because they are misleading. (You can choose commercials for other products for your dialogue.) (Unit 4)

9.A wants to buy a well-designed shirt and the salesperson (B) in the

department store is helping A. A tries different sizes and colors. Then

A &

B talk about the price and way of payment. When B talks about

his experience about selling another shirt to C, A finds that C is his/her friend and tells B that C has been complaining about the poor quality of the shirt. So A decides not to buy the shirt though B promises to give a discount. (Unit 6)

10.A wants to buy his/her girlfriend/boyfriend an expensive present and

has to borrow money from B. Unexpectedly B is very reluctant in lending A the money. B gives all sorts of reasons, such as giving an expensive present is unnecessary…A feels resentful and says B is not

a real friend. B is certainly hurt and argues with A about the true
