Language Object:1. To keep some more information about Mother's Day.

2. To grasp some words and phrases: celebrate, gift, simple, hug, perfect,ect. Language ability: To improve Ss' ability of catch key information according to the article.

Moral Object: To help Ss' to show their love to their mums after reading.

2学情分析

Students have learnt English for more than half a year.They have grasped some method of learning Englis h. They are very interested in

English. They can say something about Mother's Day.

3重点难点

Teaching important points: 1. According to reading the extra article, students can improve their ability of catching key information.

2. Students try to act out what they'll do for their mothers on Mother's Day.

活动1【导入】Step 1 Warm－up

1. To introduce the title of this class.

2. To tell them they'll have a team contest as usual.

活动2【活动】Step 2 Check－up

To discuss the pre-arranged planning in groups, students can check the answers of words,phrases and sen tences. Then one or two groups can come to the front and lead the reading.

活动3【讲授】Step 3 New lesson

1. To watch a vedio about mums-The Mum Song.

2. To show the article we'll learn today-Mother's Day.

3. To listen to the recorder of the article and answer some questions.

1) When is Mother's Day in most countries?

2) What do people like to do on Mother's Day?

3) What does the auther advise people to do on this day?

4) What does the writer think of Mother's Day?

5) What is the perfect gift for our mums?

3. To discuss what moters do in our daily life?

Things mothers do for us:
