A Comparative Study on the history of Feminism Between USA and UK

20th century was the revolutionary century of civil rights, and among all tho es rights,Feminism was definitely a great focus.Feminism is a collection o f movements and ideologies aimed at defining, establishing, and defending equal political, economic, and social rights for women.This includes seeking to establish equal opportunities for women in education and employment. The history of the modern western feminist movements is divided into thre e "waves".Each wave dealt with different aspects of the same feminist iss ues. The first wave comprised women's suffrage movements of the nineteent h and early twentieth centuries, promoting women's right to vote. The secon d waven was associated with the ideas and actions of the women's liberation movement beginning in the 1960s. The second wave campaigned for legal a nd social equality for women. The third wave is a continuation of, and a re action to, the perceived failures of second-wave feminism, beginning in the 1990s.

Both UK and USA were the major countries that contrabuted the Feminism. But due to the differences between USA and UK in history ,religion,and tradition,the processes wee differen.

UK, unlike the traditonal paternal society, has the tradition to respect the fe male, at least in the upper society. Because they have Queens who made a great contribution and wre loved by the country.
