China and I
Good morning, honorable judges, ladies and gentlemen. Today the topic of my speech is China and I after thirty years.
Thirty years later, I will be 50 years old. No youth any more. Life will run in a peaceful way, unlike now having so much pressure, facing so many challenges, but that doesn’t mean I lose the vigor and enthusiasm to life. At that time, I will cherish different things, instead of too entangling in some small things, maybe just like Confuses once said that fifty and knew. I will more concern about my family, including my parents, my husband, my children and my grandchildren. I will be sensitive about how long we stay together each week, how well we can understand each other, what I can bring to my families. The small things in the past will be a great happiness to me, like having dinner together, watching TV together and even chatting together. With the development of science and technology, people's spiritual world is becoming emptier. In my spare time, I will spend a lot of time with my family. I will teach my grandchildren to read and write, to tell them the past of their parents. I want to witness every step of their growth. Since I have missed their parents’, I don’t want to lose more. Life to a 50 year old lady is simple, as lon g as her family is well, all is well. When my speech comes here, I think everyone will wonder that it is similar to the old man’s life now, and my answer is “yes, it is “. No matter how many years later, to an ordinary old man, the most precious thing is the family, instead of the work, the fast development of the outside world，the abundant material supplies.
Thirty yeas later, there is no doubt that China will more developed than now; however America is still the superpower in the world and China is still the spokesman of the third country. It claims the theory of peaceful rise all the time. On one hand, China’s rise dues to its right policy at home. After a period of hard struggle the gap between the rich and the poor narrows. Nine-year compulsory education plays a very important role in improving overall national quality. Most Chinese are high educated. The implement of the strategy of developing the country with science and education has made the status of education increasingly striking in economic construction. Our country not only is the most populous country in the world, also becomes the economic superpower. On the other hand, as a big country, its fast development benefits a lot from the other countries, and also the peaceful environment of the whole world, so it is time for our country to do something for other less developed countries and to keep this peaceful situation. In fact, we are working on it all the time, but the difference is that thirty years later, we can do more. We will play a more important role and have greater voice in international affairs. This will help a lot in preventing the injustice war and other harmful actions to the less developed countries. We can help more in destroying the terrorism; we can send more troops when the big disaster comes; we can use more advanced instruments to benefit human beings. We will use our practical action to prove to the whole world that the China threat theory is a kind of wrong.
