英语口语学习心得体会 镇原县新城初中闫亚东 英语既是活的语言,也是枯燥无味的语言。如何提高学生的口语呢?作为一个从教十几年的英语教师,面对乡村学生的整体英语口语能力,我也束手无策。但是有幸于2009年4月在甘肃省外专局的协调下,由苗圃基金会赞助,在北京大学的昌平校区由中美教育机构组织的全封闭英语班学习,使我受益匪浅。 1、Attack Your Limitations ( 突破瓶颈 ) 障碍1:‘必须全盘掌握才能开口说英语’的观念 好多中国学生都存在一种心理:必须全盘掌握才能开口说 英语,包括语音、语法等等。英语只是一个交流的工具,不是一门高深的学问。 正是因为怕犯错误的心理,学生误把英语等同于将每条语法和单词背的滚瓜烂熟,但对于英语来说,显然作用不大。我们可以看到,大多数学生经过了十年的学习后根本无法开口说! 中美教育机构总裁余国良教授童年的经历了类似这种经历,他在香港的一所最贵的名牌英语学校读书,遗憾的是,他在这所学校整整学习了12年,却从来没有讲过英语,直到他离开香港,移民到美国,他才张开了口,学着去说,恰恰在这12年里,他和大多数学生一样受累于‘必须全盘掌握才能开口说英语’的观念。 障碍2:“说的不好会丢面子”的恐惧感

除了怕犯错误,学生还总是害怕丢面子,这样的话,说英语不仅仅会受限于观念障碍,还有心理障碍。中国学生尤其如此总是没有勇气张口。英语只能成为在书本和纸面上使用的语言。 疯狂英语曾经风靡全国,我的理念一样,大声说出来,不要顾及面子,就能克服内心的恐惧。不管在湖边,在某个空地,甚至没有谈话的伙伴都可以练习口语。 打破障碍; 大声说! 大声说,不管跟谁都行! 大声说,没有伙伴也不成问题! 大声说,即使明知讲的不太好! 大声说,赶走恐惧! 大声说,越是害怕丢面子,越要大声说! 向恐惧反击,大胆表演也好,大声宣讲也好! 张开嘴,赶走恐惧,冲破障碍! 2.Build Your Confidence ( 树立自信) 学习一门新的语言时,我们同时也是在完善自己信心。如果对自己有信心,你就能够克服一些语言表达方面的弱项,也就是说,即使你的语言能力欠缺,只要你向大家充分展示你的决心和信念,人们就会被你感染,理解你想表达的内容。 掌握英语口语的秘密武器就是主动多说。你甚至可以设法

第一节考试注意事项 一、保持平常心态 尽量放松自己,自然面对考官及同组考生。考试时保持神态自若和眼神的直接接触通常被视作是具有良好交流能力和自信的重要标志。如果你的心理始终不能释然,不妨做一下深呼吸,如果你与考官或同组考生进行眼神接触时会产生紧张感,那你不妨在回答问题时看着对方的鼻子。这样从第三者的观察角度来看,与眼神交流的效果无大差别。 二、抓住时机,熟悉自己考试小组中其他成员的语音和表达习惯 当考务人员宣布完随机组编的考试小组后,考生应抓紧时间与考试小组的成员进行会话练习,以便熟悉对方的发音特点和表达习惯,为口试的顺利合作打下基础。 三、与考官打招呼和道别 之所以要求考生在考试结束后与考官以恰当的形式道别是因为“道别”就像是为考试画了个句号。 四、保持良好的仪态和坐姿 考生应尽量保持一个良好的坐姿,如坐直身体,双手自然地放在膝盖上或桌面上。 五、把握谈话的内容分寸 把握谈话内容分寸指的是在不改变考试所限定的话题的前提下,把握谈话内容的方向,即尽量把话题的内容限制在自己力所能及的范围内。如果对某个话题不甚了解,最好不要涉及。坚持“不懂的、无话可说的内容不谈,词汇不丰富的内容不涉及”等原则。总之,尽可能地扬长避短。

六、注意表达时语用、语法和句子结构的准确性和多样性 考生在口头表述时应尽可能做到语用准确,保证词汇的丰富性和语法结构的“较为复杂”,使整个语言的表达显得“丰富多彩”。 七、争取主动,先入为主 谁先发言谁就能有更多的机会表现自己的语言能力,并能争取主动,控制问题讨论的局面,扬自己所长,避自己之短,从而给考官留下深刻的印象。同时要注意,在小组自由讨论时,一定要保证谈话双方间的communication.切不可只顾谈论自己的观点,而不顾对方谈话的内容是什么。 八、先总括后展开 在表达自己的观点时往往很难恰当地把握好发言的长度。有时因时间把握不当,没等表达完自己的观点就被考官打断了。在某种程度上这仍会影响考生的情绪。如果采用先总括、后展开的陈述方法来表达自己的观点,将有助于保证观点表达的完整性。 第二节表达技巧 在口语考试中,恰当地使用一些语言表达技巧将十分有助于考试的成功。 常用的口语表达技巧有:语句启转、客气插语、列举事实、图片描写和观点陈述、改换表达方式、修正口误、恰当地使用关联词和特征词、适当地使用告别语等。 一、使用启转语句 人们在发表个人的观点或讲述某一事实或情况时,总要根据自己的意图先说出一些让对方有思想准备的话,然后才切入正题。在口语考试中,启转语句除了上述作用外,还有助于把握专题讨论内容的方向,形成具体讨论内容的定

重庆邮电大学移通学院14-15学年第一学期 大学英语3期末口语考试命题原则 1.命题标准 大学英语(3)课程是本科非英语专业大学一年级第一学期开设的一门公共基础课程,共4学分,理论学时64学时。根据重邮移通学院应用性人才的培养目标,大学英语课程注重知识到能力的转化,强调英语综合应用能力的培养,实施过程评价与终结评价的结合。由此,本学期大学英语2课程拟在学生学期成绩评定方面尝试变革,加入口试部分。考试命题标准参照全日制普通高校同层次、同课程的本科水平,并体现三本学生培养应用型人才为主要目标的特点。在口试难度上保证中等水平的考生能够在规定的考核时间内完成全部口试任务。 2.考试依据和范围 以《大学英语课程教学要求》以及课程组制定的课程教学大纲和考试大纲为依据,题目涵盖本学期教学计划规定的课堂教学内容和学生课外自主学习内容,包括全新版大学英语(第二版)综合教程3的1-4单元、全新版大学英语(第二版)听说教程3的1-6单元的关键话题和对话内容。 3.知识与能力的关系 大学英语(3)课程教学既要注重对词汇和语言点的理解和掌握,又要注重语言实际应用能力的培养。本次口试命题以语言实际应用为考查点,测试了学生对英语口语的掌握情况和语言的灵活运用能力,包括两个部分:小型演讲和生生 对话。每个部分具体的考查范围和分值如下: 第一部分:小型演讲(Mini-speech)(50分):测试时间2到3分钟。要求两名学生分别就以下题目进行小型演讲,每位同学演讲时间不超过1.5分钟: 1.Which do you prefer, urban life or rural life? 2.Which one you prefer, high school life or university life? 3.What do you need to prepare before a job interview? 4.Do you agree with the death penalty? PWP阅读教学模式和小组合作式学习在英语阅读教学中的结合运用 赖芳芳 武汉市翠微中学 摘?要: 为了让学生们更好地掌握一些阅读的技巧和方法,也为了让阅读课堂不再是一味的翻译和语法讲解,本文特别尝试了将PWP阅读教学模式和 小组合作式学习在英语阅读教学中的结合运用。本文首先分别论述了两 种教学模式的具体内容,然后结合具体的课堂实例,进行了有效的教学 反思。 关键词:初中英语阅读;PWP阅读教学模式;小组合作式学习 英语阅读技能是初中生的一项基本技能,在听、说、读、写四项基本技能中占重要位置。《义务教育英语课程标准(2011年版)》(教育部,2012)中阅读技能五级标准是:能根据上下文和构词法推断、理解生词的含义;能理解段落中各句子之间的逻辑关系;能找出文章中的主题,理解故事的情节,预测故事情节的发展和可能的结局;能读懂相应水平的常见体裁的读物;能根据不同的阅读目的运用简单的阅读策略获取信息;能利用词典等工具书进行阅读;课外阅读量应累计达到15万词以上。 要达到以上的标准对于大部分九年级学生来说还是有一定的难度的,所以为了让学生们更好地掌握一些阅读的技巧和方法,也为了让阅读课堂不再是一味的翻译和语法讲解,笔者特别尝试了将PWP阅读教学模式和小组合作式学习在英语阅读教学中的结合运用,希望这样的结合方式对今后的英语教学起到一定的借鉴作用。 一、什么是PWP阅读教学模式? PWP阅读教学模式是将教学分为三部分:pre-reading, while-reading和post-reading三段式教学的一种阅读教学模式。它的教学目标和教学活动在三 189

个阶段有各自不同的特点。 (一)读前教学(pre-reading) 阅读前教学的核心任务就是为阅读做准备。读前的准备主要包括背景的激活、话题的导入、任务的介绍、兴趣的激发和策略准备。有时,在读前阶段还可以做语言的准备。 (二)读中教学(while-reading) 读中教学是阅读教学的核心,各种阅读能力的培养都是通过读中阶段的教学完成的。从具体信息的识别,到推理判断能力的培养,再到各种逻辑关系、篇章结构的分析,阅读能力中的知识层面、理解层面、分析层面一般都应该在读中阶段完成。阅读策略的培养活动也属于读中的活动。因此,读中教学一般由多个教学活动组成,而不是简单的判断正误、回答问题或图表填充。同时,活动必须具有层次性,从知识到领会,从分析到评价。这就给英语教师们设计教学活动时提出了更高的要求,也给教学过程的安排提出了更高的要求。 (三)读后教学(post-reading) 读后活动一般侧重知识的应用和综合,一般教材中普遍采用的reading和writing中的writing就属于读后活动的范畴。如果英语教师们把阅读分为read the lines, read between the lines和read beyond the lines 三个层次的话,读中阶段所完成的是前两个层次,读后阶段完成的就是第三层次。也就是说,学生要结合自己的实际,自觉运用阅读中获取的信息、感知的词汇和句法、认知的策略或所理解到的文化(王笃勤,2012)。 二、什么是小组合作式学习?? 小组合作式学习是一种增加生生互动的有效方式。教学中一般采取固定的合作小组。固定的合作小组一般采用“组内异质”和“组间异质”的方式构建。笔者班上的固定小组为七组(共42人),每六人一组。每组中A类生(优秀生)两人,B类生(中间层次的学生)两人,C类生(学困生)两人。这叫作“组内异质”,旨在形成学生之间的互助促进。同时,班级学生也进行“组间异质”,旨在让不同小组在学生的分配上基本相同,通过小组之间的竞争促进学生的学习。这种合作式学习笔者多用于阅读教学中较难的部分(王笃勤,2012)。 190
