A(to J&X):I have a question for you? What’s your view on friendship?

J(to A):Well, I think friendship is one of the most important things in life, whatever your status.

X(to A):Oh, I feel the same way. But some people don’t know the real meaning of friendship.

A(to X):So, what’s the real meaning of it?

X(to A):I think a saying: A friend in need is a friend indeed. Don’t you think so? J(to A):Yes, I do.

A(J&X):Then, what’s your opinion?

X(to A):I think it is only partly true. As far as I’m concerned, a real friend should also be able to share your happy moments-without feeling jealous.

J(to X):You’re right. I’ve been promoted recently, but one of my good friends just pretended to be happy about my promotion. I could feel that he was

actually very unhappy.

A(to J):It just goes to show that he is not your true friend.

J(to A):Maybe.
