The South Lake Park

Dating from 1933, the South Lake Park in Changchun is located in the southwestern part of Changchun City. The total area of the whole park is 2,220,000 square meters with the lake covering 92 hectares, ranking the first in size among all the parks in the city and the second in the whole country.

The beauty of the park is beyond description with distinct seasons. While walking beside the clear water, you are sure to enjoy the singing of the birds and the fragrant flowers everywhere. Not only can you relax in the beautiful park, you are also welcome to join in various activities. In summer, you can go fishing, boating, and swimming. While in winter, you may participate in skiing, ice-skating, or just appreciate the ice lantern show. There are folk custom shows as well, such as the lantern show. W: I like jazz and folk music. I go to the theatre occasionally and act a bit myself. I read quite a lot, and I’ve done a bit of photography. Also, I’ve travelled a lot.

So we should give more encouragement to our friends. Here is a story: A group of frogs were traveling through the woods, and two of them fell into a deep hole in the ground. When the other frogs saw how deep the hole was, they told the two frogs had no choice but to die. But the two frogs tried to jump up out of the hole with efforts though the other frogs told them to stop. Finally, one of the frogs believed what the other frogs were saying and gave up. He fell and died. The other frog continued to jump as hard as he could. Once again, the crowd of frogs yelled at him to stop the pain. He jumped even harder and finally made it out. When he got out, the other frogs wondered if he had heard them. The frog explained to them that he was deaf. He thought they were encouraging him all the time.
