当主句在前，when引导的从句在后，不用加逗号。

【知识点拨】

1.由when 引导的时间状语从句用来表示某一时间发生的动作。从句中的谓语动词常用一般现在时或一般过去时。

当由when 引导的时间状语从句位于主句之前时，句中要加逗号。

如：When I was nine years old ,I learnt to swim.= I learnt to swim when I was nine years old.

He used to like collecting stamps.他过去喜欢集邮。

2. used to 的否定形式为 didn’t use to 或 used not to

如：He didn’t use to go home by bus./He used not to go home by bus.

他过去不常坐公共汽车回家。
