一、教学设计理念

本课时的教学内容是PEP小学英语五年级上册Unit 4 Part A Let’s learn部分。《英语课程标准》提出鼓励学生通过体验、实践、讨论、合作、参与、探究等活动方式,发挥学生的听、说、读、写等综合语言技能。尊重学生的生活经验及生理和心理特点,创造适合孩子的学习环境和学习情境。

二、教学目标

1、能够听、说、认读动词词组:empty the trash和句型I’m helpful! I can…

2、能够听、说、读、写动词词组:cook the meals, water the flowers, sweep the floor, clean the bedroom.

3、能够听懂、说唱歌谣:Dog, dog, what can you do?并初步掌握句型:What can you do? I can….

三、教学重、难点

1、本课时的教学重点是学习有关家务劳动的五个动词词组。

2、本课时的教学难点是四个动词词组的书写及词组empty the trash的发音,句型I can…的运用。

四、教学准备

1、教学课件。

2、Let’s learn部分的词组卡片,教学图片。

五、教学过程

Step 1 .Warming-up

1.Greetings.

T: Class begins. Good morning, boys and girls! Follow me, please.

Let the students repeat Let’s chant and do actions follow the teacher.

Dog, dog, what can you do? I can run after you.

Panda, panda, what can you do? I can eat so much bamboo.

Mouse, mouse, what can you do? I can hide in a shoe.

Mike,Mike, what can you do? I can draw animals in the zoo.

(课前学生的注意力还没有完全从课下的放松状态中调整过来,在简单的问候之后,让学生说唱歌谣,既能让其迅速有效地实现注意力的转移,活跃课堂气氛,又为新知的学习做好了铺垫。)

2.Free talk.

T: What can the dog/the panda/the mouse/Mike do?

S1: The dog/the panda/the mouse/Mike can….

T: What can you do at school?

S2: I can play football/read books/learn English…at school.

T: What can you do at home?

S3: I can do homework/watch TV…at home.

(在自由交流中复习了前面的知识,引入了新知,让学生在用中学。)

Step 2. Presentation and practice

1、Teach “water the flowers” and “helpful”

※T: What can you do at home?

S1: I can do homework/watch TV…at home.

(CAI shows a picture of a woman.She says:“I am mother. I am very busy.”) T: Look! Your mom is very busy. What can you do?

S2: I can help her.

T: Good! You are helpful.(Lead-in “helpful”)

T: Are you helpful at home?

Ss: Yes, I am. I am helpful.

Bb: I am helpful.

I can…

※(CAI shows a picture of some flowers with two sentences---We are flowers. We are very thirsty.)

T: The flowers are very thirty. What can you do?

S3: I can water the flowers. (Lead-in “water the flowers”)

※Let Ss read these words after T.

T: w-a-t-e-r, water, f-l-o-w-e-r-s, flowers

Ss: w-a-t-e-r, water, f-l-o-w-e-r-s, flowers

(单词直拼教学,训练学生的拼读能力。)

※Train work,say it one by one.

T: I am a flower. I am thirsty.(act)

S1: I am helpful. I can water the flowers. (act)

S2: I am helpful. I can water the flowers. (act)

S3: I am helpful. I can water the flowers. (act)

T: Thank you very much! You are helpful!

※(CAI shows a picture of the grass ,trees…)

T: Look at the grass,trees and other plants.They are also thirsty. What can you do? Please act in pairs.

A:I am grass.I am thirsty. (act)

B: I am helpful. I can water the grass. (act)

A:Thank you.

(教师通过多媒体创设情境,先带领学生进行拟人化的表演,再让学生两人一组自行组织语言进行表演,让学生在运用中感知新知。)

2、Teach “clean the bedroom”

※(CAI shows different kinds of rooms, such as dining room/bedroom…)T: What kind of room can you clean?

S1:I can clean the dining room/bedroom/kitchen/study…

T: Thank you. You are so helpful. Now let’s read the chant together:“Clean the dining room./Clean the bedroom./…I can clean the house!”

※Ask Ss read the chant together.

(单词clean对学生来说并不陌生,以此为主题创编歌谣让学生复习了有关房间名称的单词)

3、Teach “sweep the floor”

(CAI shows a picture of a dirty room)

T:Look at the dirty room,there are some pieces of paper,rubbish…What can you do?(act)

Ss:(try to say)I can sweep the floor.

※Get the Ss listen 、repeat and spell “sweep the floor”

4、Teach “cook the meals”

T:(shows the picture of a scoop partly and act)What do you do with it? Ss: I can do … with it.

※Lead in “cook the meals”.Listen and repeat.Get the Ss to spell “cook”.

※Free talk, let Ss do it in pairs.

Q1.Who can cook the meals in your family?

Q2.What can you/your father/your mother…cook?

(互相询问生活中的事情,创造出一种真实的交流环境。)

Revision 1:

T:Good! Now let’s chant.Please look at the sceen.

5、Teach“empty the trash”

T:What can she do ?

※ Lead in “empty the trash”.(Listen and repeat,and try to spell out the missing letters by listening to the teacher’s sound)

※Train work,read one by one.

Revision 2:

Read the phrases and summarize“housework”.

(对新授知识进行归纳总结,复习词组。)

Step 3.Consolidation and extension.

1.Activity 1:Can you help her?

T:Look at the grandma.She is very old now.She can not do housework,so she need someone to help her.Can you help her? If you are helpful,please come to the blackboard,and tell us what you can do for the grandma. S1:I am helpful.I can sweep the floor…(act)

S2: I am helpful.I can…(act)

S3: I am helpful.I can…(act)

※Practice in a group of four, then invite three or four groups to come to the front and act.

2.Activity 2:Play a guessing game. Present the picture partly,get the Ss to guess:“What can he/she do?”Tell the answer as quickly as they can.

(通过设计的各种活动,导入和操练目标语言,激发学生学习的兴趣,鼓励学生积极参与,大胆表达。)

Step 4.Homework.

1、Help your parents do housework,and say“I can sweep the floor,clean the bedroom,cook the meals…”.

2、Copy the phrases four times.

六、教学反思

1、本课我创设了贴近学生生活的情景,让活动有所依托,并通过活动鼓励、引导学生在情景中感知、学习、运用语言。

2、注重由浅入深地进行渗透式教学,帮助学生理解,进而培养学生的综合语言运用的能力。
