做团队成员好还是领导好

很多人在团队工作中总是对自己的定位产生困惑。究竟是成为团队的领导者或者安于做一名普通的成员?这是一个团队角色问题。

团队的部分成员给自己定下了较高的目标。他们对自己的能力充满自信,他们在工作中充满能量,主动承担着大多数领导工作。他们喜欢发号施令,喜欢指导其他成员处里工作中遇到的各种问题,他们无处不在体现自己的个人魅力和领导力。另一些团队成员更愿意从事基础工作。他们比较容易满足,不愿意给自己的工作施加更大的压力,也不想承担过多的工作责任。他们更善于完成领导布置的任务,也是很好的倾听者和执行者。

但生活往往并不尽如人意。很多时候,希望成为领导者的员工总是在从事基础工作,他们会认为目前的岗位并不能完全施展自己的才能。有时他们会抱怨、会对现状表示不满。但也会继续努力,利用一切机会表现自己,希望获得担任领导职务的机会。有的成员自己的能力并不强,但却担任着团队的领导职责。他们会对所需要面对的困难和矛盾充满畏惧,在工作中充满焦虑感。

根据团队角色理论,每一种角色都很重要;一个人不可完美;团队中的每一个角色都会是优缺点共存;要尊重团队角色的差异,通过和合作弥补不足。领导或成员都是团队的组成部分,团队的成员要根据自身的特点找准自己的位置,发挥自身的优势,共同为团队目标努力。

To Be a Team members or A Leader

Many people get confused about their own position when they work in teams. To be a leader of one team or to be a common member, it is a qu estion.

Part of the team members set themselves a higher target. They are confident in their abilities, powerful at work, and bear most of the leadership initiative. They like to command and instruct others’ problems, thus they show their personal charm and leadership ability everywhere at anytime. On the contrary, other team members are more willing to engage in basic work. They are easier to feel satisfied, and reluctant to give themselves more pressure and do not want to take too much work responsibility. They are more adept at completing the arranged task by leaders, and also a good listener and performer.

However life is not always satisfactory. In many cases, the staff who want to be leaders are somehow engaged in basic work, and they don’t think that the current position fully display their talents. Sometimes they complain, expressing dissatisfaction with current status. Meanwhile they also keep

working hard to use every opportunity to express themselves, hoping to obtain positions of leadership opportunities. Some members take leadership responsibility at one team although their ability is not very strong. They are full of fear and anxiety facing the difficulties and contradictions during work.

According to team role theory, each role is very important;

a person can not be always perfect; each member has their respective pros and cons; hence we need respect the differences in team roles, and cooperate to make up the shortfall. Team leaders or members are part of the team, and they need to pinpoint their position according to their own characteristics. Only in this way, all members can do the best for the team goal together.
