Taking a look around, we can find a great many examples in supermarkets: excessive packages of food, clothes and gifts.
It is evident that the causes of this phenomenon are diverse. In the first place, some customers' psychological need is the root cause. These packages bring the sense of beauty, arouse people's enthusiasm to buy, and help manufacturers to promote sale. In the second place, it is these packages that enable shops to build up a foundation for advertising. Correct spelling is a basic skill in English study. However, nowadays many students do not pay much attention to it.

Second, the teachers might not be very strict in students ' spelling. In China, teachers seem to be more concerned with grammar and vocabulary but not spelling.
