小学英语情境教学初探城北小学于立艳一、情境教学的内涵和理论基础（一）情境教学的内涵情境，是一种生活场面。情境教学是从教学的需要出发，教师依据教材创设以形象为主体，富有感情色彩的具体场景或氛围，激发和吸引学生主动学习，达到最佳教学效果的一种教学方法。[2]而小学英语情境教学是指教师在英语教学中运用实物、体态语、电教、表演等多种活动和手段，为学生创设一个个形象逼真的场景，营造良好的教学气氛和生动的语言环境，从而把教学内容巧妙地融入其中，让学生置身于类似现实、自然的情境中用英语进行交际，感受英语教学的真实性，继而充分调动学生学习英语的积极性。（二）情境教学的理论基础情境教学在国内外外语教学中正逐步得到重视和运用，并取得了良好的教学效果，它有着深厚的理论基础。 1、直观教学原理心理学研究认为“新颖的、活动的、直观形象的刺激物，最容易引起人大脑皮层有关部位的兴奋，形成优势的兴奋灶”。情境教学最直接地体现直观教学原理，通过教师有目的地引入或创设情景，刺激学生的视觉和听觉感官，让学生感知、理解、运用所学知识，使抽象的知识具体化，减少掌握抽象概念的困难，缩短认知的时间，提高了学习效率。 2、思维相似原理英语情境教学在其教学过程中通过创设许多活动的、贴近现实生活的场景，向学生展示鲜明具体的形象（包括直接形象和间接形象），使学生大脑中的相似块（知识单元）增加，有助于学生从形象的感知达到抽象的理性的顿悟，有助于学生灵感的产生、相似思维能力的培养，使学习活动成为学生主动的、自觉的活动。 3、情知对称原理从心理学角度出发，人的认知过程是智力因素与非智力因素的统一，即认知因素和情感因素的统一。小学英语情境教学通过给学生创设多个形象逼真的教学场景，营造良好的教学氛围，使学生从近乎真实、自然的情境中获得知识，并深刻体验生活情境，感受英语学习的乐趣，从而达到认知和情感二者的统一。 4、寓教于乐原理心理学研究表明：人的情感具有两极性，它总是趋向于热爱和肯定的事物而避开厌恶和否定的事物。情境教学中创设情境就是引导学生“乐学”，通过情境调动学生健康的情感体验，唤起学生学习的愉悦，促使学生以学为乐，使学习活动成为学生主动进行的快乐的事情。二、情境教学的现实需要和实践意义（一）小学英语课堂中实施情境教学的现实需要
