2新设计

本课以“农场”情景展开话题,情景性强,单词主要以动词和名词为主,涉及动物类的单词容易上手,动词短语形象生动,语法以现在进行时为主,要应用形容词于实际中。

1、动物类单词的发音,记忆。

2、现在进行时态;

3、个别形容词的音形义和应用。

学生还未掌握什么

1、针对情景性的实际语言运用:形容词的实际应用和现在进行时态的表达;

重点:本课单词和课文的朗读

难点:本课的句子较长,因此课文的朗读成为了难点,对中下生来讲,更需要帮助。

2. 引发学生对语言表达的注意。六年级学生的英语朗读不应停留在会读上,因此在怎么读得更好要做些引导。

提示:学生已经分别学过cut和grass,教师可以利用图片及动作引导学生说出cutting grass; give可以通过动作的演示让学生明白词义。

2学情分析

学生已在三年级下册学习了部分国家和国籍单词,已有一定基础,为本课学习降低了难度。在教授本课时,我主要运用情景教学方法,准备好各个国家的国旗,引出和操练本课的句型。通过整体感知、分层操练和整体巩固,采取“整-分-整”的教学模式,提高教学效率。

3重点难点

课文的理解和句型的上口。重点掌握如何询问国家国旗和国家的首都句型,并回答。

2学情分析

1. 学生在三年级下册Module3、五年级上册Module4 和Modul e5中已经学习了部分国家、国籍和语言的单词;而本单元的Unit 4中再学习了更多国家及其首都的单词;而且在五年级下册中学习了形容词、副词的比较级和最高级的知识、句型和基本用法。

2. 六年级小学生有一定的创造性思维能力,追求任务完成时所获得的成就感及师长同伴的赞许和奖励,因此在教学过程中,要运用各种游戏、比赛、角色扮演、小组合作等活动及多媒体调动他们的学习积极性,激发他们学习英语的兴趣,并引导他们运用和形成一定的学习策略。

b. Matching Game: 用PPT向学生展示各国家首都及国旗的图片并以北京的图片及引导性问题引出例句:

让不同首都图片所对应国家名称的各小组起立并仿照例句介绍该国家的首都、国籍及语言,各小组进行比赛,看哪组同学说得又准又快。

☆目的:复习国家、国旗、首都及其标志性建筑等知识,通过展示漂亮的各国首都图片让学生猜对应的国家名称并分小组比赛介绍国家,营造良好的英语语言氛围,进一步提高学生学习英语的兴趣和积极性。

1) 承接上一环节,引导学生了解更多关于城市的信息:“Washin gton D.C. is the capital of America. The people are America n. And then, do you know how many people are there in Washi

ngton D.C.? ”在PPT所展示的首都城市图片中加入人口数据,引出描述人口数量的句型:

并逐步呈现和教授百万位数字的读法及教授新单词“populatio n”和“million”,然后通过对比数字的大小引出比较城市人口数量的句型:

最后让学生通过俩俩对话的形式仿照例句对课本P24表格中各城市的人口进行描述并运用比较级句型对各城市人口进行对比→反馈及评价。

2) 引导学生对各城市的图片进行评价并引出最高级句型:“The se cities are beautiful, but which is the most beautiful ci ty?”让学生替换形容词最高级提问并模拟“城市之最”评选,让学生根据句型框架和所给出的形容词,运用最高级描述城市,再通过小组讨论评出3个“最…的城市”及确定小组成员最想去哪个城市旅行,完成Exercise1的句子填空→反馈及评价。

1)拓展听读: ⅰ让学生听关于堪培拉的介绍并回答问题。

ⅱ让学生阅读关于堪培拉的短文并提出更多问题。

2)总结归纳描述城市的不同角度:size, population, we ather, food, drink, activity, sightseeing, animals, p lants, shopping, transport等等。

3)小组合作推介最喜欢的城市,让其他小组的同学提问,看看哪组说得最好,给予加分奖励。

☆目的:培养学生的英语听、说、读、写能力,让学生充分发挥想象力和创造性思维,综合运用新旧句型完成交际任务。
