Nowadays, with the rapid development of IT and information industry, cell phone play a dominant ole in our lives. But, like everything else, they have both favorable and unfavorable aspects.

First , it’s convenient . Whenever one meets trouble or something urgent, one can make a call immediately . Second, it’s a very helpful companion . With a multifunction cell phone in hand , one can easily get on the Net

But why is there a boom in adult education? There are several reasons . Firstly , people know clearly that knowledge is power and that it is never too old to learn . Online chatting

With the development of computers , the Internet has made its way into our daily life. Online chatting as a new communicative way has become more and more popular , especially with youngsters . However , like everything else ,online chatting has both advantages and disadvantages.

On one hand , people can make friends and air their views freely online .When they feel frustrated they may talk with a stranger online rather than with their parents or friends . They can also chat with people from different parts of the world . When the chat is over , they feel contented and refreshed . On the other hand ,some young people become too addicted to online chatting . They will sit in front of the computer day and night . It is not only a waste of time but also harmful to their health .

In my opinion , online chatting does bring a lot benefits to our life , but we should try to reduce the negative effects to the minimum and make online chatting a beneficial experience.

Everybody wants to get wealth . In today’s material world , Becoming wealthy symbolizes a person’s success and capability . Many people just make every effort, pay any price to attain greater wealth. But is wealth the only road to happiness ? Not really . In my opinion , people can’t do anything without money , but money is not everything . What money will bring you depends on your personal belief and goal in life . If you want money just for your own needs , you’ll never be satisfied or happy . In a word , you should have money spent for more people , only then can money be the source of your happiness.

The Bus and the Subway Train

City traffic is a big problem in some cities in the world , especially in big cities . To solve the problem , some people are in favor of developing buses as means of city traffic . Others are in favor of the subway train. Between them , which is the better choice?

It is easier to take buses as means of city traffic than the subway trains because buses don’t need special roads . But buses also have many disadvantages , some of which are very serious . They may cause louder noise and more traffic accidents . Buses give rise to serious air pollution and traffic jams . In order to stop what buses cause , a large number of workers must be used to widen the roads . On the contrary , the subway train is of more advantages . Except for the difficulty and high cost of building it , the subway is superior to the buses in many aspects .

Taking the advantages and disadvantages together into consideration , I would be in favor of developing the subway train as soon as possible.

Unemployment in Cities

Nowadays , there are many social problems in China , of which the high unemployment rate in cities may be a most serious one . Thousands of urban residents have become jobless during the past one and a half decades.

The following reasons may account for such a phenomenon . First , the supply of labor exceeds demand . The state-owned enterprises , which used to

be the biggest sources for employment , are now struggling as their internal restructuring is under way ,cutting down a great number of employees. Second , more rural residents are leaving their soil and pouring into the labor market in cities than ever before, causing an even higher rate of unemployment .

It is by no means easy to tackle such a problem . However , as long as our economy continues to grow and stay healthy , more opportunities for jobs are expected to be created . Hopefully , the situation of the labor market in cities will improve over the long run .
