Unit 1 It smells delicious

and impressions, 教材的设置将功能与结构融于话题与任务中,通过话题的循环与任务的完成学习感官动词的用法及系表结构。

Step 9 Grammar

感官系动词:英语动词中,有的后面要接名词或代词等作宾语,有的单独作谓语,而有的后面要接形容词或名词等做主语的补充成分。我们把后面接主语补充成分的动词称为系动词。

最常用的系动词是be,另外还有很多感官动词,如:look,taste,feel,smell,sound 等。例如:

The film is interesting.

The cookies smell delicious.

The soup tastes too salty.

The bed feels hard.

The idea sounds quite good.

All the children look happy.

上面用到的系动词smell,taste,feel,sound,look相当于汉语中的闻起来,尝起来,摸上去,听上去,看起来的概念。

要注意这类系动词和系动词be不同,其否定形式和疑问形式的构成要借助动词do。例如:

The dishes do not smell very nice.

Dose he look worried?

The cake dose not taste very good.

Step 10 Language points

1. Well, my chocolate cookies are done now. 嗯,我的巧克力饼干做好了。

句中的be done表示“做好了,完成了”。例如:

I am nearly done.我差不多做完了。

Are you done with that pen? 那支笔你用完了吗?

The beds are done.床铺都整理好了。

2. Shall I get the sugar? 我来拿糖吧?

当说话人主动提出要做某事,尤其是主动提出帮助时,我们常用Shall I …?例如:Shall I get some water for you? 我去给你弄点儿水喝吧?

我们还可以用Shall we…?来提出建议。例如:

Shall we buy Betty a cake? 我们给贝蒂买个蛋糕吧?

3...are you sure that’s sugar?……你确信那是糖吗?

be sure后面接句子,表示“确信,相信”。例如:

I’m sure tomorrow is Betty’s birthday. 我确定明天是贝蒂的生日。

I’m sure we will find each other.我相信我们能找到那地方。

既与本课的感官动词有关,又使学生主动参与到活动中,既有趣味性又有灵活性。但是,如果此游戏学生走上讲台,在全班学生面前做,效果会更好。还有一个亮点是我用课前发给学生的实物让学生“看,摸,尝,闻,听”,通过学生自己的感受,自然地说出带有感官动词的句。整堂课我讲的不到15分钟,把时间放给了学生探究,展示,交流,提升。整节课上我在关键时候对学生进行评价,激励每一位学生,每一个小组参与课堂中。小组之间差别太大的,我会通过评价激励他们很多次,也使他们自觉的参与课堂教学。但是整节课还不够紧凑,给学生展示的部分时间不够,有些小组的激情刚刚燃烧起来,刚刚达到高潮就结束了,使学生没有尽情地表现出来。通过这节课使我吸取教训,总结经验,更好地创设情境提高课堂教学效率,领悟到教学反思的益处,助我成长。

Unit2主要目标是学习运用系表结构描述人的外表,初步认识并使用when?引导的时间状语从句。活动1是热身活动,

为阅读部分做了句式结构及词汇上的准备。要求学生运用所给词汇谈论图片中人物形象。活动2?是Sally 写给其笔友

Lingling 的一封信,要求学生读后根据信中描述找出正确的图片。活动3要求将所给问句与相应段落配对,考查学生把握段落大意的能力。活动

4要求学生仿照信件中Sally 对自己外表的描述,描述照片中人物的形象。活动5和6?要求以回答问题和两人对话的形式,运用when?引导的时间状语从句谈论别人及自己的感受。活动7要求按照提示给Sally 写一封回信介绍自己的情况:外貌、喜好等。

Step 9 Learning to learn.

Remember that talking to other people is not just speaking and understanding the language. I t’s how you look, how you sound and what you do. Watch people in films as they talk to others in English. Do you do the same when you talk in Chinese?

Step 10 Writing.

Write a message to your pen friend and describe yourself. Say:

Step 1 Revision

Ask some students to show their work.

Sample version:

I have a good friend. Her name is Yuan Meng. She has long hair and two big eyes. She is very lovely, nice and friendly. She is good at drawing and I admire her very much. She often shows me her pictures. She often wears a blue T-shirt and white trousers. She likes white very much. And she sings very well. Her voice sounds sweet and soft. She looks pretty.

Yuan Meng is my best friend. We will send E-mails to each other.

Talk with students about their likes.

T: What do you like? And why?

S: I like bananas. It tastes sweet.

S: I love pan cakes. It tastes delicious.

S: I like pop music. It sounds great.

Then ask them to put the following sentences into English and then read the sentences in Language practice repeatedly to check their answers. Show the following.

那个闻起来真香!

Step 2 Speaking and listening

Likes, dislikes and feelings

Ask students to do Activities 2 and 3 individually. Then check the answers by asking some to read the sentences.

For Activity 3, point out in sentences 1, 2, 3, 6, 8, we add ―s‖ after sense verb s, but in sentences 4, 5, 7, we don’t add ―s‖ after sense verb s.

Describing others

Ask students to do Activities 4—6 on page 61.

For Activity 4, point out: Usually when we describe a person we use these words, but there are some differences between these words. For example, we can see someone is ―tall‖ or ―short‖. We can’t see ―friendly‖ or ―nice,‖ but we can judge from someone’s behavior. Then ask them to match the words with the questions and put them in the box.

Check their answer with the whole class.

stop doing sth. 表示―停止正在做的事情‖

stop to do sth. 表示―停下正在做的事去做另件事‖

e.g. The two girls stopped talking when they saw me.

make up 表示―编造;组成‖。
