教案

●(Analysis of the teaching contents):

It is a short but meaningful story.It can arouse the awareness of that how can students take this situation into consideration.Further more,short story can be recited easily.Students can recite it after class .Another important thing is that,students can have a brief understanding of what kinds of people are they in the story.

●(Analysis of the students):

All of them are elementary school student; they don’t have too much vocabulary reservation,so teachers have to use some easy words to express the story in a simple way.

●(Objectives):

1.(Language knowledge):

Learn to describe the characteristic.

2.(Language skills):

Learn some useful phrases and new words.

3. (sentiment):

To discuss which character in the story does the student like ,and why.

●Steps

(Warming –up):show the picture of monkey and crocodile,

(Presentation and practice):

Step 1 :Introduction

Show the picture of monkey and crocodile,and learn the new word “crocodile”.

Step 2 Presentation and drill

Teach the dialogues :

A crocodile is swimming in a river. He sees a monkey by the river. He wants to catch the monkey and eat his heart.He says to the monkey, “Hello, Mr. Monkey, there are many banana trees on the other side of the river. Do you want to eat bananas?”The monkey is very glad. He jumps onto the crocodile’s back.In the middle of the river the crocodile says, "You are foolish. I want to eat your heart.”The monkey is very frightened, but he is very clever, too.
