一、词汇与结构(Vocabulary & Structure)

1. 考试概述

1.1词汇题型及特点

词汇题型主要包括辨认型、辨析型、语境理解型及固定搭配型四种题型。

1) 辨认题型及特点

辨认题题型设计的目的在于考察学生是否真正了解所给出的四个选择项词的含义或用法。此类题型的特点是:四个选择项都非同义词或近义词,与其它类型的选择项相比,难度较大,包括了教学大纲词汇表中所规定的复用式词汇和领会式词汇,而题干相对来说比较简单。因此,这类题从根本上来讲并非是要考察考生的语言能力,而是从侧面对学生的词汇量作一相对性的了解。只要考生认识所给出的四个选择项词汇,又能正确理解题干的内容或含义,这类题的难度并不大。

辨认题题型从形式上又可分为以下三种:

(1)单词辨认

单词辨认是指所给出的四个选择项都以单词的形式出现,词性不定,即:四个选择项可以都属于同一种词性,也可以是混合词性。

(2)形近词辨认

形近词辨认是指虽然词义不同,但拼写或读音、或词形有相似之处的词。此类试题用于考察考生对某些在外观上易混淆的词汇的掌握情况。

(3)同一动词+不同介/副词意义的辨认

此类试题可用于从侧面考察考生所掌握的词汇深广度,不仅考察考生是否掌握了某些常用动词派生词组或短语的确切含义及用法,同时,也可以在一定程度上考察出考生对动词和介/副词的灵活运用所掌握的程度。

2)辨析题题型及特点

近义词是指意思相近,容易混淆的词,近义词辨析是英语学习中很重要的一环,它主要考查考生对词义的确切理解,其题型具有以下特点:

(1)所给出的四个选择项中,至少有两个为近义词(包括正确答案在内),有时四个选择项都是近义词;

(2) 近义词中,动词类居多,形容词次之,再次为名词;

(3) 题干难度较大,要求考生既要透彻理解题干内容,又要掌握词汇之间的细微区别。

3)语境理解题题型及特点

语境理解题测试的目的在于考查考生在句子水平上的理解能力,其手段就是要求考生根据题干所提供的部分内容或语境线索来选取正确答案。

4) 固定搭配题型及特点

所谓固定搭配是指某一个词与另外一个或两个词构成短语或形成固定用法。此类试题在于考察考生对某些常用短语或固定用法是否熟练掌握,它要求考生从所给出的四个选择项中选出一正好与题干中的某一词构成短语或固定用法。

1.3 结构题型及特点

语法结构测试的目的在于考察考生实际运用语法结构的能力。根据测试内容主要分为:时态、语态型、虚拟语气和情态动词型、主谓一致型、非谓语动词型以及重点难点句型(复合句、强调句、倒装句以及反意疑问句)。

1)时态型

英语有16种时态:一般现在时、过去时、将来时、过去将来时以及这四种的进行时,完成时和完成进行时。解析此类题型时要看清句中的时间状语。若是它从复合句,还要注意主句和从句中谓语动词时态的一致。

2)语态型

英语有两种语态:主动语态和被动语态。凡及物动词和及物动词短语都可构成被动语态。

3)虚拟语气型:

虚拟语气是动词的一种特殊形式,用来表达说话人的愿望、请示、意图、设想等未能或不可能实现的事实,或说话人看来实现可能性很小的情况。

4)情态动词型

情态动词用来表示能力、允许、许诺、可能、必须、劝告、意愿等意念或态度。情态动词没有人称和数的变化,后面跟不带to的不定式。此类题型测试重点为:“情态动词+不定式完成伴”即“情态动词+ have +―ed分词”,表示对过去的行为或动作进行推测。

5)主谓一致型

主谓一致型是指谓语动词在人称和数上必须和主语一致主谓间的一致关系常由三种不同的原则支配:语法一致;意义一致及就近原则。

6) 非谓语动词型

非谓语动词分为三类:不定式、动名词和分词。此类题型要求考生掌握不同类型的非谓语动词在句中各自的作用,熟悉它们在时态和语态上的各种变化以及某些动词、句型的搭配要求。

7) 重点句型

(1)复合句型

复合句是由一个主句和一个或一个以上的从句构成。主句为句子主体,从句只作句中的一个成分,不能独立。考生应分清从句所属正确选用引导从句的关联词、连接词和关系代词。

(2)强调句型

考生应掌握固定句式:“It is/was … that …”。

(3)倒装句型

考生应熟悉倒装条件如表示否定含义的词放在句首,主谓倒装。

(4)反意疑问句型

反意疑问句由两部分构成:前一部分用陈述句形式后一部分用答短问句形式。考生应掌握前后两部分的正确搭配。
