Goodbye, My Dear Students

再见了，我亲爱的同学们

Dear students,亲爱的同学们

It’s time for me to say goodbye to you,even though I don’t like to. At this very moment,I am filled with mixed feelings.It makes me happy and excited that I’ll see my beloved wife and children soon,but at the same time I don’t want to bid（表示）farewell（告别）to you,my dear students and friends as well as Tianjin,your beautiful city.

尽管我不是很喜欢，但还是到了说再见的时候了。在这个时刻，我混合着各种各样的感觉。让我高兴激动的是不久我就要见到我深爱着的妻子和孩子了，但是同时我也不想和你们说再见，我亲爱的同学、朋友还有天津这个漂亮的城市。

In fact,I regard Tianjin as my second hometown, and the students and teachers here as my family members and best friends.I’ll never forget the warmest welcome you gave me when I first arrived in Tianjin. I’ll never forget the day on which you took me to the hospital when I fell ill and the dumplings that Li Ming’s parents prepared for me that night.

事实上，我将天津视为我的第二个家，将这里的同学和老师们视为我的家人和最好的朋友。我将永远不会忘记当我第一次来天津时你们给予我的最温暖的欢迎。我永远不会忘记当我生病时你们送我去医院的那一天，而且那天晚上李明的父母还给我准备了饺子。

Yes, I still remember you were all laughing at me when I was trying to use chopsticks for the first time in Tianjin Food Street, but do you know that now I prefer chopsticks to knives and forks?

是的，我仍然记得当我在天津小吃街第一次用筷子时你们的笑声，但是你们知道吗？就因为这样我现在更喜欢用筷子而不是刀子和叉子。

I’m very glad to see the great progress you’ve made in your English and the prosperity（成功）of vocational education in Tianjin. I am told that many graduates from this college are devoting themselves to the construction of Tianjin now. I believe your future is bright and so is the future of Tianjin.

我也非常高兴看到你们在英语方面和天津的职业教育中取得的巨大的进步和成功。现在我知道有许多从这所大学毕业的学生将他们自己奉献于天津的建设中去了。我相信你们的未来是光明的，而且那也是天津的未来。

Now I’m leaving soon, but I have a strong desire to come back to Tianjin, back to my beloved school with my family as soon as possible.

现在我就要离开了，但是我非常强烈的希望我能再回到天津，带着我的家人尽快回到我深爱着的学校。
