(Adverbs and Adjectives Identical in Form)

An early riser gets up early.

A fast train travels fast.

Daily newspapers are published daily.

This is hard work . We have to work hard.

如:go straight, tell someone straight中为副词。

cheap,cheaply

She sells her goods cheap.(cheap可用cheaply替换。

(一)本类词有hard, hardly; late, lately; most, mostly等。

Allen was walking quickly, but George was walking even quicker.

The men were quarrelling loudly, but the policemen shouted louder.

The car went slower and slower until it came to a stand still.

Let?s see who can run quickest.

We must look closer at the problem.

2、有“so”或“too”修饰时:

It all happened so quic k that I could do nothing.

It is impossible to overtake him; your car goes too slow.

Don?t talk so loud; the child is in bed now.

Come quick; we are waiting for you.

Drive slow; this part of the road is dangerous.

The sun shines bright.

When we left the shelter, the snow was falling thick and the wind was blowing cold.

Business is going strong.

Take it easy.

Stand firm and hold it tight.

He often plays high.

The secretary copied the rough draft of her manager out fair.

They were drinking deep into the night.

例如:afraid, asleep, awake, alone, alive, awake, ashamed, alike。 There is a famous fine old stone bridge near the village. The boy interested in music is my brother. Do you have anything interesting to tell us? 例如:not(不),here(这里),now(现在)。 Have you read this book before? (副词,作时间状语) He will arrive before ten o’clock. It’s beginning to rain now! She often changes her mind. He has just had an operation. 2、地点副词: 1)表示地点的副词:She is studying abroad. It’s the same everywhere. 3、【重点】方式副词 1)英语中有大量方式副词,说明行为方式(回答how的问题):How beautifully your wife dances. He left the town secretly. You sing much better than me. Their house is much nicer than ours. 5. 你知道这台机器怎样启动吗? where: I don’t know where he lives. (错)He is an ill man.

(对)The man is ill. (错)She is an afraid girl. (对)The girl is afraid. 这类词还有: well, unwell, ill, faint, afraid, alike, alive, alone, asleep, awake 等.

注意: a. We could see very clearly a strange light ahead of us. b. He speaks English well.

例如:afraid, asleep, awake, alone, alive, awake, ashamed, alike。 There is a famous fine oldstone bridge near thevillage. The boy interested inmusic ismybrother. Doyou have anythinginterest ing to tell us? 例如: not(不),here(这里),now(现在)。 Have you read this book before?(副词,作时间状语) He willarrive before ten o’clock.(介词,before ten o’clock是介词短语,作时间状语) (二)副词的种类 1、时间副词: 1)表示发生时间的副词:It’s beginningtorain now! She often changes her mind. Hehas just had an operation. 2)以where 构成的副词也是地点副词:It’sthesame everywhere. [说明] 这类副词除修饰动词外,还可修饰形容词(a)或另一副词(b): a. fairly simple 相当简单quitecorrect 完全正确 it very quickly 干得很快 2: oodat singing. b. Yousingmuch better than me. Their house ismuchnicer thanours. 你知道这台机器怎样启动吗? where: I don’t know wherehe lives. Let’s goinside.Taketwo steps forward.
