【精讲点拨】

1.Could you please take out the trash?请你把垃圾倒掉好吗?

①情态动词could用于有礼貌地提出要求或请求允许,在疑问句中可用can或may代替, 在时间上could与can没有区别,但could语气要比can, may委婉、有礼貌。

②其句型为:Could you please do sth.? 否定形式为:Could you please not do sth. ?

③肯定回答时要用Yes , I can .注意:不能用could 。除此之外,肯定回答还可以用Sure./Certainly./Yes, sure./Of course./That’s OK./No problem ./With pleasure .等;否定回答用I’m sorry, I can’t ./I’m sorry , but I have to ……/还可以用I’m afraid not .要避免说No, you can’t. 这样显得很不礼貌。

eg: Could you please sweep the floor? Yes, sure.

Could you please water the flowers? No problem.

2.take out 带出去,取出eg: Please take out a piece of paper. Please take it out.

3. Two hours of TV is enough for you.两个小时的电视对你是足够的。

谓语动词与主语要在人称和数上保持一致。eg: Two months_____ a long holiday. 两个月是一个长假。

4. help out 帮忙help sb. out帮助某人解决难题 help out with sth. 帮忙处理某事

5. Tony, could you please help out with a few things? 托尼,你可以帮着做几件事情吗?

a few与复数名词连用“有些,几个”;few与复数名词连用,表示否定,“不多,很少”

a little与不可数名词连用,“少量的,一些”;little与不可数名词连用,表示否定,“几乎没有”。

eg:I had little money and little free time. 我没什么钱,也没多少空闲时间。

Could you give me a little milk? 给我一些牛奶好吗?

【精讲点拨】

1.I’m just as tired as you are.我和你一样累。

(1)as……a s,与……一样…, 两个as中间可以加形容词或者副词,由它要修饰的内容决定. 肯定句用as...as,;否定句也可用so...as。

eg :I didn't go ______far _____you.我走得不像你那么远.

(2)as soon as_____________(引导时间状语从句,主将从现)

eg : I’ll write to you ___________ I get there. 我一到那儿,就给你写信。

2. neither 两者都不。

(1)neither用作代词,表示―两者都不,双方均不‖。

eg.He likes neither of the bikes.两辆自行车他都不喜欢。

—Which one would you like? 你喜欢哪一个?—Neither. 两个都不喜欢。

注意:此时,与neither用法较为接近的词是none,但none的含义略有不同,none表示―(三者以上)所有的……都不‖。

eg. None of us are perfect. 人无完人。

(2)neither of…做主语时,谓语动词要用单三形式,表示两者都不……,其肯定形式为both of…(做主语时谓语动词要用复数形式)

eg. Neither of them knows English.他们两人都不懂英语。

(3)neither用作连词,常用短语为neither...nor...,表示―既不……也不……‖。

连接两个并列主语时,谓语动词必须与nor后面的名词或代词在人称及数上保持一致,即所谓的就近原则。其肯定形式为both..and... ,表示―既……也……‖,即―两者都……‖(连接两个并列主语时谓语动词要用复数形式)

eg. The weather is neither too cold nor too hot in autumn.

eg. Neither lily nor Lucy _________(like)English. 他和我都不喜欢英语。

肯定句:Both lily and Lucy ________(like) English. 3.in surprise 吃惊地

(1)surprise表示―惊讶‖时,是不可数名词。常用短语:让某人惊讶的是_________________. (2)surprise还可以做动词,意思是―使...惊讶‖。常用短语:surprise sb

(3)派生词:surprised 形容词,意思是―感到惊讶的‖; surprising 形容词,意思是―令人感到惊讶的‖。

常用结构:be surprised at sth 对某事感到惊讶;

be surprised to do sth 做某事而感到惊讶

4. come over ―过来‖,动副词组,

5. ―I’m just as tired as you are!‖ I shouted back. ―我和你一样累!‖我大声回应道。

shout v. 呼喊;呼叫shout back 大声回应

shout to sb 对某人大声说话shout at sb. 对着某人嚷

eg: It's not polite to shout to people. 对人大声说话是很不礼貌的。

(1)Could 用于第二人称,表示委婉地提出请求。

略读,即快速阅读,阅读时不需要逐字逐句的读,只需快速浏览课文,领会文章大意。一般而言,通过标题可知道文章的主题。对文章的首段和末段要多加注意,以便发现作者的观点。找出每段的主题句,抓住中心,理解主题句与文章的具体事实细节的关系,没有主题句的段落就要依靠段落中的衔接、句际关系来分析、推断和概括段落的大意,从而达到整体理解的目的,获得文章表达的正确信息,并能对所获得的信息进行有效的分类和储存。

【精讲点拨】

1.in order to意为―为了‖,引导目的状语从句,可放句首或句中。常用结构:in order to + 动词原形;否定形式:in order not to + 动词原形。其可以与so that 引导的目的状语从句进行同义句的转换,即so that+从句= in order to do sth .(简单句)

eg: I got up early this morning in order to catch the early bus .( 同义句)

I got up early this morning so that I could catch the early bus .

2.be always doing sth.意为―总是做某事‖表示一直赞扬或厌恶,不满的情绪。

eg: Lei Feng was always helping others. Jim is always eating in class.

3. have no idea 意为―不知道,不了解‖相当于I don’t know.

4. take care of=look after=care for 意为:―照料,照顾‖, take good care of=look after well 意为―仔细照顾‖。

5. a waste of time意为―浪费时间‖, waste 用作名词,意为―浪费‖, waste 还可作动词―浪费‖讲。

eg: Don’t waste time any more , Jim.

6. It is the parents’ job to provide a clean and comfortable…此句型为“It’s one’s job to do sth.”,意为“做某事是某人的工作”eg: It’s her job to clean the street.

注:provide意为―提供,供给‖,主要结构有:provide sth.for sb.或provide sb. with sth. 意为―为某人提供某物‖或―供给某人某物‖。

7.Doing chores helps to develop children’s independence and teaches them how to look after themselves.

做家务有助于培养孩子们的独立性并且教会他们怎样照顾自己。(1)develop v(使)提高;(使)加强v.发展;壮大developed adj.发达的developing adj.发展中的
