Due Attention Should Be Given to Spelling

Nowdays , some students do not pay enough attention to the spelling in English learning . What a serious situation .

And according to what I am informed , there are two factors to this phenomenon . The first one is that more and more students are getting used to learning English through electronic equipments such as E-dictionaries and computer , which in fact lead them to make more mistakes in spelling . Secondly , in order to improve students’ grades , a great mumber of English teachers are becoming more concered with grammer and vocabulary instead of spelling . Therefore , students spend less time and attention in spelling .

As far as I am concered , there are many measures can be taken to solve this problems . For teachers , they should be strict to students’spelling and make dictation as a class task . For students , they should realize the importance of English spelling in exams and daliy communications . What’s more , they should form a good habit of studying to avoid spelling mistakes .
