Should We Ban Beauty Contests?

Beauty contests are popular in many parts of the world. The biggest, the Miss World competition, has been running annually since 1951. It attracts an enormous worldwide audience- around 3 billion viewers in 115 countries. Besides that, there are many other beauty contests for various categories. Because of this, many young ladies are crazy about joining in beauty contests. However, beauty contests must be banned for they misleading the society’s especially the young women’s understanding to true beauty.

Although some people think that the beauty contest is the feast for their eyes and they can take pleasure from the performance, it is still doing harm to people’s views about beauty, because what beauty contests present is extremely superficial and it makes people misunderstand the right way to realize their dreams.. On the contrary, beauty contests have tremendous negative impacts which are impossible to be ignored.

Initially, some young girls who are lucky to own the inherent beauty always dream to be stars by using their appearance superiority. They are always over focus on how to retain their beauty or how to become more gorgeous. As a result, they do not work hard to enhance their knowledge and become vase beauties.

And also, b eauty contests are unfair to those women who don’t have ∧advantage in physical appearance. That means these ladies has smaller room to show their inside qualities. Only when we ban the beauty contests can we lead the social conception back to the right way and pay equal weight to women’s outside appearance and inside self-cultivation.

What’s the most, beauty contests do no good to the development of both the society and individuals. For one thing, it twist the society’s view towards beauty by projecting an image that being slim and good-looking is the premise of being a beauty. For another, women in beauty contests are judged on their physical appearance rather than on any other qualities. The bad consequence is that many young ladies choose to take cosmetic surgeries to make themselves look more attractive rather than to really enhance their personal qualities.

I am sorry for those people who are indulge in beauty contests. They will never know what the most important quality of a real human is. Some of them only care people’s physical appearance. To change this ill phenomenon, the gradual ban of beauty contest is seriously necessary.

The organization and development are well handled.

Try to improve grammar.
