PURPOSE/SYMPTOM

Initial Software Download of a blank Positioner CPU RR CVC board

PROCEDURE

2. SPECIAL SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

3. PREREQUISITES

1. Verify that a Positioner Database Backup exists.

If it does not, you will need to perform a Reset to Defaults, then perform a full system calibration

2. Close TP6 for download

3. Connect the laptop with the cable 2348769 to J17 of RR CVC

4. Launch PST

5. Turn On the system

? For all systems EXCEPT AdvantX-E & Innova 2000

Click “OK”

? For AdvantX-E & Innova 2000, if the TITAN power button (near the reset button on the console) is “ON”

Switch OFF the console & Click “OK”

6. Select files on the accompanying Applications CD-Rom, or the system Applications CD-Rom.

The file begin by “RR” & finish by “.txt”

Example AdvantX-E : RR-2.02.txt, RR_advantxe_1.0H.txt,

RR_heroic5.2AD-2.txt,

7. Click “OPEN”

The download start. Click “Finish” on the last screen when the download is completed.

8. Switch “OFF” the positioner cabinet

9. Open the jumper TP6 on RR CVC

10. Switch “ON” the system

11. Restore the Positioner Database Backup

If it was available, using PST - Configuration - Load, as shown below

If the Pos DB Backup was not available, Reset the DB to Defaults, using PST - Configuration - Reset

to Defaults, as shown below.

Also perform a full Positioner calibration (AP and LAT gantries, if available), table calibrations , and

Smart Handle/Smart Box/JoyStick calibrations, if applicable
