How to improve psychological health?

As is known to all, psychological health is as important as, if not more important than, physical health for a student during his/her growth. However, it's quite worrying that nowadays some students are not quite psychologically healthy.

Undoubtedly, schools and universities should take great account in the responsibilities of students' psychological health. Relevant courses and activities should be introduced to students so that they would be more aware of the significance of psychological health and find appropriate ways to maintain and improve it. For example, there should be a psychological counseling hotline or office for students to turn to when they need some psychological aid.

Of course no psychological health can be obtained without the efforts from the students themselves. From my perspective, what they can do is trying to stay positive, optimistic and follow the right guidelines from their schools. What Electives To Choose

With the reform of Chinese higher education, more and more colleges and universities put emphasis on nurturing students? abilities. As a result, elective courses are available not only for excellent academic performers but also for students about the average level.

Certainly, students have different reasons to choose their own electives. For some, practical skills are the essence of college education, and therefore, courses on computer science, marketing, and finance are highly preferred. On the other hand, others may hold the idea of liberal education and electives concerning literature, history, and philosophy are the most welcome.

Take me as an example: being a disciple of free education, I stand for the notion that university is not a place for survival skills, but a palace of knowledge and critical reasoning. The Spring Festival Evening Get-Together has been held in China for over two decades, which seems to have been an indispensable company during the tradi tional New Year?s Eve for a great number of people, who appear to be accustomed to enjoying the sights and sounds of a brilliant feast, while gathering with their beloved family.

However, an increasing number of people have voiced different opinions towards it, as more diverse life styles have emerged nowadays.
