Chemical Resistance Guide
concentrations or for very brief periods. have a significantly different effect on Ryton PPS than water alone, except under very acidic conditions.
Organic Chemicals
Non-oxidizing organic chemicals generally have little effect on Ryton PPS, but amines, aromatic compounds, and halogenated compounds may cause some swelling and plasticization over extended periods at elevated temperatures. Hot Water
Ryton PPS polymer is not hydrolyzed by hot water, but special grades have been developed to resist the detrimental effects of hot water on adhesion of glass fiber reinforcements to the polymer matrix.
Automotive Fluids
Ryton PPS is very resistant to all common automotive fluids, even at elevated temperatures. Chemical Compatibility Chart
