Lesson12 教学设计

一、教学内容与分析

1. Just practise

本课是在前一课指路、问路对话的基础上,利用图文,拓展了地点与出行方式,如restaurant, post office,by bike, by subway等,进一步丰富了学生对此话题的表达。

主要目标语言:

How can I get to the City Library?

You can get there by No. 6 bus.

2. Just write

本部分重点教学词汇和句型。通过师生创设的真实语挥,能够听、说、读、写half an hour, by bus/bike, city library,并在对话交流的过程中完成目标词汇和句型的学习与运用。

3. Let’s play

本部分设计了一个依据地图来指路的对话表演活动,学生需要在读懂地图的基础上进行问路和指路的对话表演,从而进一步巩固本课主要词汇和句型,以达到运用本课目标语言的目的。

4. Let’s chant

本部分设计了一首有节奏的chant,学生在学习并说唱歌谣的过程中,自然感悟字母ck在单词click, block, clock, stick, knock中的发音,并总结出ck在单词中的读音规律。学生可以通过创编新歌谣的活动,归纳出更多以ck结尾的单词,以达到在歌谣说唱中自然运用单词的目的。

二、课前准备

1. 准备本课书的教学图片、音频或课件

2. 继续使用第11课中优秀小导游的小红旗作为本课评价方式

3. 准备chant鼓点节奏录音或能敲击的小锤、小鼓等,以备说唱时打节奏使用。

4. 准备一张中国地图和第10课Let’s play中的地图,以备操练时使用。

5. 在网上搜集本地区著名地方的短斤、PPT或图片,并下载或手绘这些地方的地图,以备新授课环节使用。

三、教学步骤与建议

1. 热身/复习(Warm-up / Revision)

1) 复习前课,表演对话

本课是第11课词汇和句子的进一步操练和巩固课,因此学生可以用表演对话的形式来复习第11课,为新知的学习作铺垫。

2) 说唱chant,改编表演

教师出示中国地图,圈出大连、香港、北京等地。地方设置有近有远,目的是让学生根据地点的远近和特点选择不同出行方式来进行操练。说唱过程中应边指认地图边说唱。如:

How do you go to Beijing? By bus, by bus.

How do you go to Dalian? By ship, by ship.

How do you go to Hong Kong? By plane, by plane.

2. 新课呈现(Presentation)

1) 短片赏析,语言输入

播放本地区大家喜欢的地方的短片、PPT或图片。教师进行简短讲解,为后续学习作语言输入。

2) 教师带领学生总结短片中看到的本地区著名场所,如生活在天津,著名地方有Tianjin Library, Goubuli Restaurant, the Culture Street, Tianjin Railway Station, the Water Park 等。

3) 交代主题,展开讨论

本课继续第11课设置的指路主题活动:我们作为城市的主人,要做一个小导游,为客人们作好介绍。

教师展示地图,对这些著名场所逐一进行介绍,学生根据已有生活经验和地图为客人们指路。学生在前面课中已经熟识本课大部分单词、词语和句子只有restaurant和subway是学生第一次接触,因此要着重讲解、示范与跟读。如:T: Look. This is a restaurant. It’s very famous. Its name is Goubuli Restaurant. What else I restaurants do you know in Tianjin?

S: Hongqishun Restaurant. The Red Flag Restaurant...

T: Yes, so many good restaurants in Tianjin. Maybe the people in Tianjin like

eating much. Haha. How can we go to Goubuli Restaurant?

S: By bus. By bike. By taxi.

T: Look at the map. What’s near the restaurant? There is subway station near it, right? So I think the best way is by subway. What else places can we go by subway?

4) 学习歌谣,总结发音

教师播放歌谣,带领学生伴着节奏说唱本课chant,总结ck的发音规律。小组比赛,唱歌谣,评选出最佳说唱小组。

3. 趣味操练(Practice)

1) 利用城市地图,操练目标语言

利用第10课L et’s play环节的地图,增加公共汽车线路和地铁线路。以小组为单位,进行主要目标语曰操练:How can I get to...? You can get there by bus / on foot / by bike / by subway.

2) 利用中国地图,操练目标语言

教师将所在的城市标出,并选出几个要去的城市,在复习/热身环节chant 的基础上操练本课目标语:How can I get to...? You can get there by train/plane/ship.

通过两个操练活动的对比,学生学会根据远近选择适当出行工具。

4. 语言运用(Language use)

教师创设情境:外国朋友向你问路,你拿着地图(本课Let’s play中的地图)为其指路。两个同学为一组进行情景表演,评选最佳导游。

语言范例:

Foreigner: I’m in the park now. How can I get to the City Library?

Student: First you can take No. 6 bus and get off at the third stop. Then you can go there by No. 31 bus. Get off the bus at the fourth stop. You can see the City Library on your left.

5. 课堂评价(Assessment)

1) 课堂教学过程中的评价

(1) 评价卡参照11课小红旗评价方式,在语言操练、运用和拓展环节使用。

(2) 完成小组合作自我评价卡,形成英语学习历程报告。

2) 教师指导学生完成《活动手册》中的相关内容,并进行评价。

6. 拓展活动(Extended activities)

教师出示网络搜集的著名景点地图,学生根据真实的地图标识来进行问路、指路的交流。通过此项活动将关于问路、指路的语言进行综合运用,同时注意礼貌用语的使用。对话编演参照第11课对话内容。

注:地图可以从网络地图中截图。

利用多媒体课件展示传统节日,如:National Day,Spring Festival,Christmas. 提问:What do your family do on these festivals? 可进行简单的提示,并简单介绍节日。 2.在介绍完Mid-Autumn Festival之后,可以再展示一张中秋图片,引出Wu Yifan的中秋节。 3.引导学生阅读信件,了解课后习题,带着问题去阅读短文,在阅读的过程中画出不理解的单词,短语和句子。如:get together,moon,mooncake,poem。 (1)快速阅读之后,完成表格,教师解释“be going to”相当于“will”,都表示将来。 (2)核对答案,并讲解短文中较难理解的单词和句子。 (3)播放光盘,听一听,并跟读学习正确的语音语调,体会升降调。 Step 3:Consolidation and extension 1.Discuss with your partner.What are you going to do for Mid Autumn Festival?同桌之间可以用英语口头交流,然后要求学生规范书写下来。 2.完成“Tips for pronunciation”部分的任务。请学生开火车朗读单词,全班学生注意聆听,并注意重音。教师播放光盘,核对重音,并请学生对刚刚朗读的单词点评,教师引导。最后播放光盘,学生跟读,读到重音部分时拍手,注意重音的模仿。再请几位学生上台大声
