盛夏高温季节将到，有文章要求车主在夏季到来时必须更换高粘度的机油，实际上这种要求是不客观的。 其一，理论上讲气温高就要使用粘度高的机油，但现时市场上销售的机油与传统的使用习惯相比已经发生了很大的变化，例如SL级合成油含有抗高温和抗氧化剂，会有一种遇热变稠、遇冷变稀的功能，被称为全天候机油或四季机油，5W30或10W30这样低粘度的机油在夏天高温季节均有良好的适应性。同时，本世纪生产的汽车与上世纪比，在新的金属材料选用、加工精度、电子科技的应用等方面已经发生了重大的变化，它要求的是一种良好的油膜连续性和流动性，高粘度的机油已经不适用于新一代的汽车了。 其二：机油粘度过大将加快发动机启动时的磨损。由于机油粘度过大，流动缓慢，油压虽高，但机油的通过量却不多，不能及时补充到摩擦表面。油的循环速度也变慢了，其冷却与散热效果会变得很差，从而导致发动机过热。由于机油循环速度慢，通过机油滤清器的次数也就变少了，因此难以及时将磨损下来的金属末屑、炭粒、尘埃从摩擦表面中清洗出去。 其三，使用粘度过大的机油会使油耗增加。由于粘度过大，机件摩擦表面间的摩擦力增大，为克服增大的摩擦力，则要消耗更多的燃料，从而造成能量的浪费。据了解，目前在国外，机油低粘化已经成为了趋势。在国内，在润滑油节能方面虽然还没有强制性的要求，但是低粘化将是未来的发展趋势。 因此，夏季不需要使用粘度过大的润滑油，更不能认为粘度越大就越好三种情况下才使用高粘度的机油 有三种情况要使用高粘度的机油，一是极行驶，如超过160公里时速的赛车。此时赛车因极速所旌的超高温，需要粘度较高的机油来保持其润滑性，一般车辆在高速公路上跑只能叫做高速而不是极速；二是残旧的车辆，发动机磨损严重，各部件的间隙很大，粘度低的机油容易窜到燃烧室中与汽油一起燃烧，并形成积碳；三是长途运输重载的车辆，各转动部件的挤压性很大，用粘度高的机油可确保机油的油膜不至于断裂。 高温季节正确选择粘度级别 夏天高温季节如何正确选用机油呢？在保证润滑的条件下，根据使用时的气温范围、发动机温度以及实际车况，尽可能选用粘度小的润滑油。对车况较好、磨损比较小的发动机，则可以选择粘度小的润滑油，例如5W30或10W30，而对磨损已比较严重、间隙已比较大的发动机，可适当选用粘度稍大的润滑油，如10W40。 此外，由于夏冬温差比较大，夏天油压表普遍偏低。但是，只要处于厂家行车手册上规定的合理范围，均属于正常现象，广大车主没有必要为此事过度恐慌。如果油压表离奇偏高或偏低，比正常情况偏离太多或者不在合理范围之内，那么就需要彻底检查一下，看看是不是发动机出什么问题，比如说传感器坏了、油路堵了等等。切忌看到油压表偏低，就拼命选用极高粘度的润滑油。 发动机怠速情况下，机油的压力小于机油压力开关的阀值，从而机油灯报警，根本原因是机油压力开关的阀值和发动机怠速情况下的油压值之间没有匹配好。
