为了更好地服务和指导我市新课程高中英语教学工作,实现新课程教学与新高考的顺利衔接,长乐市名师工作室成员深入研究了教育部颁布的《普通高中英语课程标准(实验)》和《2008年普通高等学校招生全国统一考试大纲(课程标准试验版)》,根据省普教室提出的福建省普通高中新课程2009届毕业班教学建议,在分析我市高中英语新课程教学实际状况和我省高考英语自行命题的特点以及普通高中新课程、新高考的特点和要求的基础上,提出本学科如何应对高中新课程背景下的高考的教学建议,供大家参考。

一.对新课程背景下的高考分析

(一)对我省英语自行命题试卷的评析

我省高考英语试卷从2004年开始实行自行命题五年来,以“平稳过渡,稳中发展”为指导思想,根据我省高中教育发展规模的现实和高中英语教学的实际,以“四个有利”为原则,即:有利于我省高中英语教学,有利于新课程改革,有利于推进素质教育,有利于高校人才选拔;根据英语学科特点,稳步实施和推进自行命题工作。主要呈现以下几个特点:

1. 明确指导思想,实现平稳过渡

五年来我省自行命题严格按照教育部颁布的2004—2008年《普通高等学校招生全国统一英语考试大纲》和我省出台的《考试说明》要求命题。由于全国卷的大多数题型通过改革与实践检验趋于成熟。已被广大师生广泛接受,因此,在实行新高考前,我省自行命题英语试卷题型不作变化,顺延命题传统,题目设置规范,切实做到求稳求实,有效地实现了平稳过渡。但2009年高考题型有所变动,短文改错题改为短文填空题,所填的词有三种情况,给首字母、给汉语或都不给,为了对付这一题型,建议老师们要根据自己学生的情况,自编练习,从最简单的词开始,从句子开始,逐渐过渡到短文填空题。

2.难度控制适中,体现选拔功能

五年来我省在高考自行命题英语试卷的难度系数总体控制较好,大多数保持在0.55~0.60之间。中等难度的试题占试卷的绝大多数,符合我省考试说明中有关试题难易度比例的规定,试题具有较高的信度、效度和必要的区分度,较好地体现了选拔功能。但08年的英语试题在选题方面更加大胆,选题新颖,相对07年难度有所增加,特别是完形填空题难度较大,得分率不高。2009年的完型题词数将增加,信息量加大,这意味着难度将降低。08年的试卷不但完形填空题较难,在单选题、阅读题等都出现了有一定难度的选拔性

题目。从语法和词汇知识、完型填空、阅读理解到写作,各部分的选材和出题,都可以看出要求考生要有很强的语言运用能力,这将是今后我省高考自行命题的一个趋势。

3. 遵循语言规律,注重能力考查

试题设计在注重语言知识的基础上,强调语境、突出语篇、重视应用、注重交际,符合《考试大纲》中有关语言应用能力的要求。如:在语境中考查语言知识;在阅读方面,对学生的知识面,文化背景知识和阅读速度等有更高的要求。从阅读教学来讲,文化知识,尤其是外国文化知识对阅读理解是至关重要的。其实阅读就是一种心理猜测游戏。影响阅读理解有两大因素:一是大脑对文字符号的感知程度与速度,另一个是“眼球背后的东西”在起作用。所谓“眼球背后的东西”就是指阅读者的文化背景知识。如果一个人的文化背景知识比较丰富,那么他在阅读时理解的速度就比较快,程度就比较高。所以老师们在平常教学中要有意识地从二十一世纪报高中版中挑一些学生感兴趣的时文给学生阅读;此外,新高考书面表达将由控制性的提示表达向半开放或开放性写作过渡。如:今年高考写作就要求学生根据一则英语广告写一篇自愿申请做志愿者的应征信,是属于半开放性的作文题目,不像以往有固定的中文提示。这种考题要求考生的语言组织能力要很强,观点要明确、表达合理、语言要精炼准确。

4. 体现课改精神,凸现导向作用

试卷以新课程改革的理念为先导,重视能力考查。试题的选材与设题贴近学生、贴近生活、贴近时代,知识覆盖面广。在重视对语言知识与语言技能的考查的同时,体现了对情感态度、价值观、跨文化交际意识及综合人文素养的多维目标引导,反映了语言学习的本质。试题也在一定程度上体现对考生英语学习策略、自主学习等方面的能力要求。对高中英语教学具有良好反拨作用。08年阅读理解所选的材料比较贴近生活,语言比较地道,题材也比较多样。A篇是残奥会题材,B篇为哲理型的议论文,C篇为广告,D篇为世界能源危机介绍,E篇为有关皮肤癌的科技小文。命题人的出题仍采用主旨题、细节题、推断题等传统题型。

五年来我省英语自行命题虽然在试题形式上没有变化,但在试卷内容上努力追求与新课程改革逐步接轨,为我省2009年新高考改革奠定了坚实的基础。

(二) 对自行命题和先行课改省份新高考试卷分析与思考

为了适应新一轮课程改革需要,国家考试中心逐步下放高考命题权,实施各省市自行命题方案,到2008年为止,包括我省,共计18个省份高考采取自行命题。为求平稳过渡,自行命题的省份第一年均依据教育部颁布的《考试大纲》、《考试说明》,并按全国卷题型命制,保持稳定过渡。但从第二年开始大多数自行命题省份随即制定本省(市)的《考试说明》,并根据本省(市)的教学实际,寻求与新课程、新高考的接轨,进行了试题改进与创新。特别是2007年和2008年一些省份在新考法、新题型研究方面加大力度,出现了一些与全国试卷不同的新题型、新模式、新内容。这些新高考试卷变化情况和发展趋势肯定会影响我省的新高考试卷。

1.评述

新高考变化的主要三个方面;一是选材更加广泛、材料来源渠道更宽、题材体裁更加多样化。材料选自报纸、杂志、网络、书籍等,涉及科技、文化、经济、体育、史地、社会生

活、社会热点等;考查内容更加丰富,如上海、湖北试卷增加翻译,北京、广东试卷增加双作文等等。

二是容量与分值调整较多。如:山东卷完形填空题由30分调整为20分,增加阅读表达15分,写作由25分增加到30分。江苏2008年课改新高考在试题总量不变的情况下,英语总分调整为120分,其中听力调整为20分、完形填空20分、阅读理解30分,增加任务性阅读10分代替短文改错。湖北卷语言知识题(选择题)由15分调整为10分,增加完成句子15分。2008年上海卷语法词汇题(选择题)由2007年的20分调整为15分,增加语篇单词填空题10分,完形填空由20分调整为15分。

三是题型改进与创新步伐加快。新题型以主观题和考查综合语言运用能力题为主。新题型考查内容包括听力、阅读、语言知识、词汇、书面表达等,形式有填空、回答问题、翻译等。如:听力填空、提示翻译、阅读信息匹配、短文信息补全、对话填空、单词填空、任务型阅读、阅读表达,2007年浙江卷和2008年湖南卷的写作题采用选做模式;2008年海南卷对“短文改错”题型进行了改进等。新高考试题中被替换取消的题型主要是短文改错,广东卷取消了单项选择题,以语法填空取而代之。

2.分析

各省市新高考试卷的最大特点就是力求与新课程改革接轨,在内容变化、分值调整、题型创新等方面体现了新课程改革的理念,这些变化对新课程改革背景下的高中教学均有十分重大的指导意义。

新题型多以主观题为主,尤其多以填空形式呈现,包括听力填空、语法填空、单词填空、阅读填空、对话填空等,其中广东的语法填空,上海、重庆等省(市)的听力听取信息填空,江苏等省的对话补全填空,湖南和江苏的任务型阅读,短文填空等具有一定参考价值。填空的方式可有多种变化,易于命题时选择与控制;山东等省的新题型阅读表达也值得关注。这些题型与新课程教材中的主要练习题型高度一致,作为主观题更有利于考查学生的综合语言运用的实际能力。客观新题型较多被采用的有:阅读信息匹配题、短文信息补全题等;写作由控制性向半开放或开放性过渡已成为各省市新高考试卷共同追求的方向。建议老师们多上网浏览各省市英语高考试卷,查阅与研究新题型和难度。

3. 思考

新课程、新教材、新教法、新考法是一种必然趋势。自行命题省份新高考试卷的内容、分值、题型的变化已引起广泛的关注,也是今后命题改革的重点,对我省新高考有较好的借鉴作用。但少数省份在试卷结构与分值调整方面幅度过大,题型变化过多、过快,导致试卷信度与效度降低,影响考生实际水平的发挥和公平性的体现,对高中英语教学和新课程实施也产生了一定的负面影响。因此,我省在新高考改革方面会借鉴兄弟省份的成功经验,吸取教训,进行总结与反思。会结合我省实际,根据新课程标准,稳步推进2009年我省新高考试卷改革与创新工作,有效指导高中英语教学工作。

二. 教学与复习建议

省教育厅颁布了《福建省实施普通高中新课程后高校招生考试改革方案》,明确了2009年高考的科目、考试时间和分值、考试范围与内容、命题原则等具体内容。2009年我省在深化高考考试内容改革,实现与高中新课程内容的有机衔接方面将迈出重要的一步。为了做

好2009届我市毕业班教学与复习工作,我们在进行以上分析的基础上,提出了英语学科复习教学建议。

(一)研读《课程标准》,领悟《考试大纲.课标版》,把握复习总体方向

《课程标准》是高考命题的主要依据之一。全体高中英语教师应认真研读《课程标准》,尤其对语言知识、语言技能目标的要求要做到心中有数,用课程标准中倡导的教学新理念指导高中教学工作,使英语教学“在进一步发展学生综合语言运用能力的基础上,着重提高学生用英语获取信息、处理信息、分析问题和解决问题的能力,形成跨文化交际意识和基本的跨文化交际能力”。

《考试说明》将于12月中旬出来。《考纲》于明年1月出来。在我省未正式出台2009年《考试说明》之前,教育部颁布的《考试大纲课标版》应作为高考复习的重要依据。《考试大纲课标版》对考生在语言知识、语言技能等方面提出了明确具体的要求。例如,《考试大纲课标版》附录了7个语音项目、24个语法项目、68个功能意念项目、24个话题项目及词汇表;在词汇方面,明确要求考生能使用约3500个单词和400—500个习惯用语和固定搭配。

纵观我省和先行课改省份以及其他自行命题省份近年来的高考命题趋势,本着“实事求是、循序渐进、稳步推进、逐步完善”的原则,可以预见我省新高考试题将继续保持在“稳中发展、稳中求新”的态势。命题将沿着重视双基,加强对综合运用语言能力的考查,适当增加较为开放的主观题型这一方向发展。因此,在复习过程中,认真研读、领悟《课程标准》,《考试大纲课标版》,领会命题总体趋势,是确保高考复习有序、高效的前提。

(二)立足学生实际,夯实基础,提高综合语言运用能力

1. 立足学生实际,拓展教学内容

老师们应结合本校校情、学情、在完成必修模块1—5、选修模块6—8的教学内容之后,可视本校学生的实际情况,选择只学习选修模块9~10的部分单元的教学内容,增加学生语言输入量,拓宽学生文化视野。教学中应重点加强对常见词汇的有效记忆和掌握,词汇表中无打三角号的词要求会听、会读、会写,打三角号的词只要求了解中文意思,出词汇练习时只要给出英语写汉语就行了。要关注《考试大纲课标版》词汇表中所列出的约3500个单词,训练学生根据语篇猜测词意、句意、把握主旨大意、概括段落大意、捕捉文章事实细节以及推理判断的能力,促使学生综合语言运用能力在原有的基础上得到进一步的提高。

根据我市一般校学生英语学习的存在的主要问题:词汇量不过关,单词拼写错误多,阅读速度慢,综合概括及深层逻辑推理能力偏弱,书面表达的审题不到位,语言表达语法错误较多等,在不到半年的时间内,讲究复习策略,使复习效益达到最大值。做到以下几点(1)复习词汇要做到词不离类、词不离句、词不离文(2)每天复习20个词、词组,5个句型(3)每周背诵两篇短文或范文(4)复习语法要与语境结合,无语境的单选题要少说。重点突破时态、语态,非谓语动词,从句等重难点项目。(5)每天坚持做两篇限时阅读理解(6)每两周完成一套题(7)每周写两篇学生熟悉的题材的书面表达(8)每周确保有一个下午一节课用于听力训练(9)密切关注高考信息与动态,及时调整补充。

2. 以教材为复习载体,夯实基础

英语复习应把必修模块1~5、选修模块6~8作为复习语言知识、语言技能和综合运用能

力的载体。

要重视词汇复习,只有词汇是不够地,但没有词汇是万万不能地。词汇复习重点应放在梳理常见的动词、短语的基本用法上,适度拓展,并尽可能地将其运用于听、说、读、写的语境和篇章中。重点关注:1)兼类词;即兼有多种词性的词。2)派生词;即根据构词法派生出意义及词性不同的词。3)旧词新义的词;即在平时学过,但在新的语境中产生不同意思的词汇。

听力练习要着重帮助学生排除各种障碍,如:语音、语调以及单词发音在句中的变化、连读、同化、弱化、失去爆破,还有重音、以及口语习惯表达方法等。不要只放录音对答案就了事。

语法复习应重视分门别类的演绎、归纳。复习时,建议将初、高中所学过的全部基础语法知识进行梳理。要求学生能理解语法形式的表意功能,并能正确运用。对较复杂的语言现象要有一定的归纳和分析的能力。教师可选用较为经典的练习题,往年高考题,尤其是结合语境测试语法基础知识的试题,或是教师根据学生的认知水平自行设计、编写新的练习题,供学生演练,并引导学生观察、讨论、分析和比较,最终推导、归纳得出正确的结论。

在词汇、语法复习过程中,应着重从语言交际的角度和语境,学习与运用词汇和语法,注重词汇、语法知识的纵横联系,精讲精析,有效地突破语言知识的重点、难点,由浅入深,循序渐进,帮助学生构筑较系统的词汇、语法知识网络,夯实语言基础知识,并向语言运用能力过渡。

3. 探索提高学生综合语言运用能力的有效途径

《课程标准》对学生的综合语言运用能力提出了较高的要求。纵览我省以及先行课改省份和其他自行命题省份的命题趋势,我们应多集体备课,发挥集体智慧,积极探索提高学生综合语言运用能力的有效途径,关注自行命题省份和新高考改革先行省份试卷的新题型、新考法。同时,教师可利用现有一些题型进行改造。例如,把沿用了多年的“短文改错”题改造成要求学生通过上下文语境和根据首字母或汉语提示的短文填空题,着重训练学生思维表达能力,考查学生根据篇章语境准确运用词汇、语法等综合语言运用能力。

阅读是发展学生综和语言运用能力的重要途径。在阅读方面,应着重提高学生用英语获取信息、处理信息、分析问题和解决问题的能力,加大学生语言输入量,引导学生阅读不同题材和不同体裁的材料,使学生的课外阅读量达到一定的数量。福建高中新课程网站有英语阅读理解题,老师们可挑选适合的有关材料给学生作为阅读练习。通过阅读,巩固和扩大学生的词汇,进一步丰富学生的语言知识,加深对中西方国家不同文化差异的理解,提高学生跨文化意识和跨文化交际能力。在阅读训练过程中,还应着重培养学生的阅读策略意识和阅读技巧,重点训练学生的把握文章主旨大意与中心思想的能力,捕捉文章事实细节的能力,推理判断的能力和猜测词义和句义的能力。此外,还要重视培养学生良好的阅读心理素质和阅读习惯,如遇到生词能快速排除阅读障碍,利用有效的阅读策略和阅读技巧获取有用的信息等。同时,为应对近年来高考英语阅读量加大的趋势,还应加强提高学生阅读速度的随堂限时训练,力求每分钟阅读词数达到65~70之间。

在写作方面,平时可以从以下写作步骤训练学生的基本写作能力;审题—查询信息—列出要点—造句—连词成句—检查—抄写等。还应指导学生学会构思、谋篇布局,教师可设计

或编写符合学生认知水平且具有一定开放性的写作任务,适当提高词数要求,利用不同体裁的文章进行有针对性的训练,以提高学生能运用恰当词汇、正确语法、常用句型进行写作的能力。通过写作培养学生的英语思维能力、语言准确表述能力以及在人际交往中得体使用英语的能力。教师还应鼓励学生平时多阅读经典文章,多积累优美词句,或模仿经典文章的篇章结构提高写作水平。在看卷打分时,要逐渐将写作分打高,越临近高考越高,以增强学生的自信心,成就感。千万不要叫学生在写作题中抄写阅读理解中的内容。

(三)以学生为主体,提高复习成效

1. 设定合理、有效的复习教学目标

教师应从学生的实际要求出发,认真研究学生学习中存在的困难,适时了解、分析产生困难的成因。复习课教学目标的设定,应符合学生的认知水平和接受能力,探索语言知识的有效地复习方法,避免盲目拓展。阶段性复习目标的设定还应包括对学生复习成效的检测。依据检测结果,认真分析、研究、反思复习教学中尚待改进的教学问题,并根据学生的复习成效设定有助于进一步提高学生综合语言运用能力的更高目标。

2. 拓宽语言输入途径,创新复习课堂教学模式

必修1~5、选修6~11模块提供了大量题材广泛、内容丰富、文体迥异、语言地道的文章,在复习过程中,建议老师们应充分利用教材优势和其他资源优势,拓宽学生的语言输入途径。鼓励学生多读、多听、多看,利用快捷的互联网、英语电视节目、英语报刊,了解最新的时事、文化、科技等方面的信息动态,学习鲜活英语,巩固和拓展词汇,多渠道地了解地道的英语表达,开拓文化生活视野,提高人文素养。

教师应改变传统“一言堂”、“炒冷饭”的复习教学模式,按照新课程的理念设计多种可供学生参与、学习和活动的任务型复习教学模式,课堂形式尽可能多样化、趣味化。把体验、实践、讨论、合作与探究等方式引入复习教学,发挥评价的诊断、激励、促进等功能,让复习教学富有生机又充满新意。例如:在试题、作业评析时,可让学生参与讲解解题思路和可遵循的语言知识规则,有争议的题目可发动学生讨论,阐述各自的见解和观点,使课堂尽可能生动活泼。教师还应向学生传授解题技巧;激发学生思维,通过一题多变,一题多解,举一反三,达到对语言知识的融会贯通。

3. 指导复习方法,提高学生自主学习能力

教师明确的复习目标、丰富的复习经验并不能代替学生的复习,毕竟最终进入考场的是学生。因此,在复习过程中,指导复习方法,提高学生自主学习能力至关重要。教师应根据不同学生的学习特点,指导他们制定切实可行的复习计划和各阶段的复习目标。倡导同学之间互助合作,取长补短,共同进步。要让学生养成反思和调控自己学习的习惯。学生具备了良好的复习方法和自主学习的能力,在教师的指导下,复习就能取得事半功倍的效果,教师还应把好复习资料使用关,精选复习资料,杜绝粗制滥造、质量低劣的训练材料,避免学生把时间无谓地浪费在“题海”上。特别是临近高考要少做单选题。

4. 做好心理指导工作,让学生顺利复习迎考

做好学生的应试心理指导和心理素质训练是有效温书迎考的重要保障,教师应帮助学生克服考前的紧张、烦躁、焦虑的心理,增强自信心,以从容、踏实和良好的心态参加高考,从而在考试中发挥出最佳水平。

扎实、有效地做好新高考的总复习工作,对顺利推进我市高中新课程实验、对高校选拔人才、对实现我们的教学目标都具有重要意义。但愿2009年长乐市高三毕业班英语成绩在原有的基础上有比较大的提高。
