Hello everyone! I am so glad to be here to give you a speech.Today, my topic is, as you all know ,“Smile behind the tears”.

To my understanding, the title means keeping smiling even if we are in trouble.As the famous saying in the movie Forest Gump“life is like a box of chocolates,you never know what you gonna get”.Our lifetime is filled with smiles and tears.Every tear has a smile behind it,and every smile also has a tear behind it.

Actually,failure and frustration are always around us.We’ll never live a happy life until we have a positive attitude.There are so many pains and difficulties on the way to success,so keeping an optimistic attitude is very important for us to stick to what we do.

We should not be afraid of failure and tears.Rather than failure and tears themselves, what is fearful is not to dare to face them. As the old saying goes：“failure is the mother of success”.

What is the most important is that we should work hard and learn some lessons from failure and tears.

Take Stephen Hawking as an example,despite suffering greatly from a rare disease and then losing of his language skills,he overcame the difficulties with disabilities and devoted himself to the research on the origin of the universe.One of the most important reasons of his great success is keeping optimistic and never giving up.
