世界主流英语口音分析，多了解下英语的知识（转）来源：美国研究生留学的日志 首先说一下，口音（accent）的决定因素中，地域因素的权重的确是最大的，但同一地方的人说话也并不是完全一样。 第二，口音的决定因素除了地域，也和生活环境、所受的教育有关。所以英国很多地方的中产阶级、知识分子，并不说他们当地的口音，而基本都会说RP（后文详述）。 第三，基本上可以这么说：accent = pronunciation + intonation，口音=发音+语调。语调比发音好分析多了，而且同一地方的人语调基本上整齐。比如东北话的阴平（第一声）总是比地方人的普通话的阴平低一些，或者就是把“七个猴”干脆发成“骑个猴”。英语的语调，下文亦有简述。 =========== 开始正文…… 英语主流口音，基本就是英音和美音了，其中我把澳大利亚英语归为英音。 先说英音（包括RP、Cockney、Geordic、Scottish、Irish、Welsh、Austrian等） 共同特点是—— 发音上：non-rhotic（也就是遇到元音后的r 不卷舌，这是英音和美音最最显著的区别）、辅音清晰不含糊（有种“呲呲”感） 音调上：起伏大、抑扬顿挫，陈述句以降调结束，问句以声调结束。（这点和美音差别很大，美国人说话音调很平，并且说什么话都能以升调结尾……） RP 所谓Received Pronunciation，又称King's/Queen's English（取决于现任core的性别），是英式英语最标准的口音，也是新概念英语磁带、BBC所用的口音（不过BBC现在的口音已经不止RP了），中国小盆友必然最熟悉。生下来就说纯正RP的地方，只有英格兰的Ox ford那一小块，不过整个英格兰南部（伦敦、南安普顿、剑桥、伯明翰等）说的都和RP比较接近。 另外，RP的很好听的一个特点是，会把for it 连读，并且把那个r 发出来。不仅如此，“t he idea of”，也会在idea 和of 之间加上一个r 音。 Cockney Accent ——伦敦东区口音 有人以为伦敦音就是标准英音，其实不是，就像北京话不是标准普通话一样。Cockney是伦敦东区的称呼，那里以前是比较穷的人住的，Cockney accent主要代表那些人的口音。主要发音特点： - with /wif/ ——世界上不能把"th"音发正确的人多了去了，伦敦人也不行，所以到现在还发不准这个音的人不妨就用 f 来代替~ - bother /'b?v?/ ——把浊辅音发成/v/ - this /dis/ ——把浊辅音发成/d/ - letter /'le ??/ ——这个问号表示"glottal"，意思是：letter里的tt 完全不发音，但必须把e 和er 分开来发 - like /l?aik/ ——把/ai/ 发成近似/?ai/ （姑且叫做“三元音”吧） 想要体会一下Cockney的，可以去看Harry Potter电影，Harry说的就是Cockney。Cockn ey和RP其实还是比较接近的，所以我们会觉得Daniel Radcliffe的发音“比较标准”。Geordic ——英格兰北部口音 比如纽卡斯尔、利兹、约克等，尤其是纽卡斯尔。北部口音和RP相差就比较远了，不过听起来很憨厚淳朴。说RP的人因为一般都是知识分子、中产阶级、政客什么的，总会觉得有点too sophisticated... - lane /li?n/ , today /t?'di?/
