1. Resizing / Transforming HDRI images

All of our High Dynamic Range images come in Latitude/Longitude format, and are available only in the highest possible resolution (i.e. the resolution at which they were taken).我们所有的高动态范围图像来在纬度/经度格式,并只限在尽可能高的决议案(即决议于他们所采取的)。

While a high resolution HDRI is beneficial for creating realistic reflections in your 3D scene, you may sometimes want to use a lower-res version of the image in order to light the scene more efficiently. The number you should enter will vary depending on the amount of memory available to you, but values such as those chosen in the example image (512x256) should suffice (Figure 02). To resize an HDR or EXR image in Adobe Photoshop, simply open the file, choose 'Image Size' from the 'Image' menu, and enter new values in the Width and Height fields (Figure 03). Again, ensure that you save the file under a different filename to the original file you downloaded.要调整

Should you need your HDRI in a different format than the Latitude/Longitude Spherical Map that 3Six0 provides, for example a Vertical Cross, we would again suggest using HDRShop. In the menu that appears, change the Source Image format to Latitude/Longitude, and the Destination Image format to whatever you require. 2. Camera Matching

In order to add 3D objects to one of 3six0's background photographs, it is necessary to create a camera in the 3D scene that mimics the real-life properties and orientation of the camera used to take the photograph.在以新增的3D对象之一3six0的背景图片,是要创造一个相机,在三维场景模仿现实生活中的性质和方向,相机用来采取的照片。

If this resolution is too high for your needs, simply ensure that the aspect ratio of the image (width/height) is identical to that of the photograph. This information is included in the background image file in the form of exif data. Use this data to set the properties of the camera in your 3D scene*. Some software will only allow you to change the focal length of the camera, whereas others, such as VRay, will allow you to have far greater control over the camera properties (Figure 09).使用此数据来设置的属性相机在您的三维场景*.一些软件将只允许你改变焦距的镜头,而其他国家,如vray ,将让您有深远的更大的控制权相机性能(图09 )。

For some cameras used by 3six0's photographers, such as the Canon EOS-1Ds Mark II, this will give you the correct result. If the image you are using was taken with either a Nikon D200 or a Canon

For example, to match the following photograph (Figure 10), a long thin plane was created with roughly the same width as the road in the image.

The camera can then be positioned, either by using the Move and Rotate tools on the camera and its target, or more easily, by activating the camera view, and using the Dolly, Truck, Orbit and Roll tools (Figure 11).相机便可以定位,无论是由使用移动和旋转工具,相机和目标,或更容易,通过激活相机的看法,和使用小车,卡车,轨道和轧辊工具(图11 )。

Now any object you add to the scene should sit realistically in the camera view. It may be worth creating a copy of your camera in case you accidentally move it whilst working on the scene.现在,任何对象,您添加到静坐现场,应切实在相机的看法。可能值得创建一个副本,您的相机的情况下您不小心移动而工作在现场。

3. Lighting with an HDR image

Once the camera matching has been performed, it is time to add the High Dynamic Range panorama to the scene to allow for accurate lighting and reflections.

Rotate the image horizontally in the material editor until the part of the HDRI that matches the background image comes into view in the viewport. To do so, using 3ds max and VRay, create a VRayLight in the scene, set the type to 'Dome' and drag an instance of the HDRI from the material editor to the 'Texture' slot in the light's properties (Figure 12). It is usually helpful at this point to add a simple object or objects to the scene with very basic materials such as a matte grey (Figure 13). This will give an indication of the brightness of the HDR light, which can then

At this point, the set up of the HDRI and background image is complete. Objects and materials can now be imported to seamlessly blend with the background image.
