President Bush has met with Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf at the white house to discuss a wide range of international and regional issues.The two leaders told the joint news conference that the talks were candid and reinforced trust and confidence in each other. Ahead of the meeting a controversy developed when President Musharraf told the television litter viewer that American official had threatened to bomb Pakistan if he did not cooperate in the U.S.-led war on terrorism. That issue was raised in the next change with reporters.

And a meeting in New York between the Foreign Minister of Guatemala and Venezuela has failed to resolve the deadlock of which country would represent last in America and Caribbean as the non-permanent member on the United Nation Security Council.In the BBC interview after the meeting, the Venezuela Foreign Minister Nicolas Madurolaid Guatemala for the ongoing impasse.
