Introduction:

Wilson:

Wilson is a 24-year-old man who is tall, but not handsome. He is clever and gentle but has no experience of love. He has a warm and wealth family and is supposed to become the inheritor of his family?s company. He is believes others easily at first but after undergoing some unforeseen events, his life is changed.

Riva:

Riva is a 22-year-old beauty. She saw the accident in which her parent died when she was 12, her aunt then took her in but always mistreat her and abandoned Riva?s sister, Yelena, who she is eager to find. There is hatred in her mind. She gets close to and pretends to fall in love with Wilson just for revenge.

Yelena:

Yelena is a 20-year-old orphan. She grows up in a church which is supported by Wilson?s family. She is pretty kind and has an unrequited love for Wilson. She works in Dan?s company.

Dan:

Dan is a 22-year-old man who runs his own company which is competitor of Wilson?s company. He has a poor family but he is hard-working. He was a close friend of Riva in University. He loves Yelena deeply but she is not interested in him at all. After he finds that Yelena loves Wilson, he utilized Riva to attack Wilson.

It Is All In the Game

It is a beautiful day. The wind is gentle and the sun is warm. The most special thing about the day is Wilson and Riva…s engage ment. All of the things have been prepared well; the guests are coming with their best wishes, including Dan, as Riva?s University classmate.

“Congratulations,” Dan said with a fascinating smile, he then hugs Riva with a low voice beside her ear he whispers, “never forget our cooperation, dear.”

“Never will I.” Riva replied sweetly but firmly.

Nobody notices their short talk but only their chummy greeting. Riva gets back to stand beside Wilson; she can?t help thinking about the day on which Dan made a plan with her. A call changed her life.

It seemed that that was one of the most ordinary days of Riva?s when she worked in a unknown restaurant as a waitress. After a whole day?s work, she was not only tired but hungry. Opening the refrigerator, she was able to find nothing left, not even a piece of bread. She began to complain with dejection just as her cellphone was ringing.

“Dear, how are you?” a strange man?s voice said.

“Who are you?” Riva asked word by word.

“Are you asking me?” the man laughed, “Come to Monalisa, the restaurant on 3 Ave. I?ll wait for you at table No.5.” Then the call was hung up.

“Monalisa…” Riva was confused but she was too starving to think any more. Putting up her coat, she went out, “It cannot be a joke.”

Entering the Monalisa, Riva was following a gentle waiter. She could see no other guest but only a figure viewed form behind. She was upset but a little bit excited as well. She was hardly ever able to go to such a luxury restaurant. Standing behind the man, Riva touched his shoulder slightly. The man stood up and his face shocked Riva who couldn?t even believe her eyes!

“Dan!” Riva shouted surprisedly, “Are you joking with me?”

“I know, I miss you, my dear friend.” He replied with a warm hug, and then he moved the chair as a gentleman, “Please sit down, beautiful lady.”

Sitting face to face, they engaged in small talk. Dan told Riva that after he graduated, he stopped all the connections with his friends and experienced all kinds of new things for himself. He has set up his own company and now achieved great success. “You are so excellent, Dan, I?m proud of you.” Riva said sincerely.

“Thanks, Riva,” Dan sipped from his wine glass and then put it back on the table, “but, you don?t forget your parents accident, do you?”

Riva became speechless because of this unexpected question, but soon answered seriously, “no. I?ll never forget it until the day I die.”

“That would be great. I hired a private detective to investigate your parent death and was surprised to find that it was not a simple accident but was murder.” Dan said in a low voice.

“What…what are you saying,”Riva cried with eyes wide open, “can yo u say it again?”

“I said that it was not an accident but murder,” He stopped suddenly and then repeated, “a murder!”

“Why?” Riva clench her fist firmly, …who did this cruel thing to my poor parents?”

“It was James, the boss of DSC which is a big food company, and his wife Vivian who

did it. Your parents got the evidence of DSC using unqualified ingredients to make food and refused to compromise with James, and then your parent had that horrible car accident which you saw after your graduation ceremony from primary school.”“How can they do that? My poor parent, they are innocent,” Riva choked with sobs, “they, James and his wife, no, all of his family should be punished! Tell me, Dan, what can I do? I?ve lost my sister; do you know what happened to my sister? Please tell me, you are the only person who can help me!”

“I can help you, my dear friend,” Dan passed Riva a tissue and said softly, “dry your tears. James and Vivian have a son whose name is Wilson. I can introduce him to you. You are a smart girl, you do know what you should do. And I?ll try my best to help you because you are my best friend.”

“Thank you, Dan,”Drying her tears, Riva said incoherently, “I can?t express my appreciation to you by using any word, but I can do with my action.”

“Well, in order to punish all the bad guys, we should go gentlely before we succeed. Come on, Riva, give a cheer for your glorious revenge!” Dan held up his wine glass. “Cheers!”Riva hold up her wine glass and touched Dan?s slightly. But she was curious about Dan?s motivation even though Dan hadn?t said the reason he hired the private detective.

After that, Riva resigned her job and joined Dan?s company, pretended to be his cousin who had a excellent education background and wealth family. Under the help of Dan, she gradually got familiar with all kinds of occasions and different people. Because of her nice appearance and outstanding sociability, she became much more popular than they thought. Many affluent playboys were showing their affection for her, but she didn?t respond to any of them. She was waiting for the man, the key of her vengeance, Wilson.

“Are you ready for the party?” Dan asked a little nervously, ?it will be the first time you have faced Wilson, do you remember him form the picture I gave you?”“Sure, please trust me, I?ve looked at his face in the picture for hundreds of times- the son of cutthroats- I won?t forget it.”Riva answered confidently and then walked towards Wilson directly.

“Hi,” Riva greeted Wilson with a fascinating smile, “nice to meet you, I?m Riva.”“Oh, hi,” Wilson shook hands with Riva, “Wilson, nice to meet you.”

Dan stood between Wilson and Riva and said, “How are you, Wilson, this is my cousin, Riva.”

“Good,” Wilson replied but he found he couldn?t stop looking at Riva. She must be the most elegant lady he has ever seen before. Her eyes, her smile, her words were all attractive to him. He thought he must be falling in love with her at first sight. But he has heard that no one can get her heart, at least so far.

Dan was pretty joyful to see Wilson?s reaction and said, “Enjoy your conversation, I?d like to greet some other friends.” Dan walked towards the crowd with the thought in his mind, “Wilson, you got everything when you were born, warm family, money, good education, and even Yelena?s heart. But one day, you?ll lose everything.”

Since the party, Wilson gradually became familiar with Riva, and the longer he stayed with Riva, the deeper he loved her. Showing his truly love to Riva, Wilson was bashful because it was his first time to reveal his heart to a girl. To his surprise, Riva agreed on being his girlfriend without hesitation. Because of this, Wilson soon became the target of other boys? envy and jealousy. Some of their love even turned into hate, they began to investigate Riva?s background. Nevertheless, as love always makes a man blind, Wilson not only didn?t suspect Riva, but protected her from those rumors. Riva perfectly performed as though she was moved by Wilson deeply, but actually only enmity existed in her heart. One month later, Wilson finally couldn?t bear it; he just wanted to end all the gossip, so he chose to make an offer of marriage. Wilson and Riva are standing at the gate of the engagement party, and Wilson said to Riva, “Are you ready?”

“Yes.” Riva says firmly, showing her charming smile. Dan told her that he had gotten enough convincing evidence about DSC using unqualified ingredients to make food, and he past those onto the Food Safety Administration whose staff were invited to the party by Riva.

As soon as they walk towards the stage, the staff of the FSA start to take action. “Excuse me,” one of them speaks genteelly, “who is James?”

“Me. What?s up?” said James with a kind voice.

“We received a document which accuses your company about adding unqualificated indigents to the product you sell. You?d better accept our inspection.” The man says solemnly, “Now, p lease.”

Looking at his family, James thinks for a while and eventually nods. Vivian is stupefied with such an unexpected situation; she can do nothing but look at her husband following those so-called officials. The guests, parts of who are worried sincerely, but more are likely to gloat. What?s more, Dan and Riva just smile into other?s eyes which is caught up exactly by Wilson and Yelena. The betrothal is cancelled.

Three months later, the court announces that James will be convicted and he is punished as a lifer. Moreover, his company, land, and estate are all confiscated. After hearing that, Wilson?s mom, Vivian, suffers from a mental disease and is sent to mental hospital at once. Wilson is deeply devastated by what is happening to his family. Riva left him even without a word. He loses almost everything, his parent, his family firm, and his so-called friends. He cannot understand their smile, he cannot calm down, and as a result, he begins to distrust people all around him. He lives in depression until Yelena stands before him.

Yelena asks with a little anger, “Hey man, what are you doing now?”looking at Wilson?s low-spirited face.

Wilson replies with a silence.

“Where is the Wilson I know before? A clever, gentle, and well-educated man,”Yelena turns her voice down, “where is the Wilson I loved before?”

Looking up, Wilson sees Yelena?s face, “Are you coming to laugh at me? Go, go! I?m not a fool! No one will fall in love with such a poor guy! Don?t tease me!”

“No. I?m not teasing you. I have loved you since I was young; the happiest time I had was seeing you in church when you came to pray with your family every Sunday.”Yelena said softly, “but I was heartbroken when I knew that you were planning to marry Riva! You will never know how sorrowful I was at that time. I thought I should give up, and just send both of you my good wishes. Thank God, now I get chance to tell you all of these things.”

Wilson is astonished and is speechless by Yelena?s un expected words because he has just regarded Yelena as his cousin all the time, he has ignored her feelings for him. “You are not supposed to be negative, you should fight! You should rebuild your father?s company. And I?ll always stand with you.” Yelena leaves with her last exhort, “You will never be beaten in my mind. Never”

One week later, Wilson invites Yelena to dinner. Yelena tells him that Riva still is working in Dan?s company; they are planning to acquire the company which belonged to James before. Wilson clenches his fists and asks Yelena for help.

“I?ve told you that I will stand with you forever.”Yelena? words warm Wilson.

“I?ve deposited money which my parent saved in case something unforeseen happens.

I can set up another company though it may not be as good as DSC. But it can delay the time if Dan wants to acquire the company.” Wilson decides to counterattack.

On the one hand, Yelena is the secretary of Dan in his company; on the other hand, she is Wilson?s spy who provides all kinds of confidential matter to him. Due to his wisdom and former experience, Wilson?s new company is able to develop rapidly. It even acquires DSC successfully from Dan?s grasp. Unfortunately, Dan has noticed that Yelena is not quite as simple as she looks. Dan decides to make use of Riva again but she is pretty weary and refuses him. At this moment, Dan?s private detective tells him that they have found Riva?s sister. Dan forms a plan in his mind.

“I?ve found your sister, if want to know the details, come to see me at the same place we met at the first time.” Dan leaves a message for Riva.

Dan then leaves another message for Wilson. “Are you wondering why those terrible things happened to your family? If you are curious about the facts, come to Monalisa restaurant, I?ll wait for you at table No.5.”

“There is a conference tonight, we will meet two important guests, follow me after work.” Dan says to Yelena in an ordering voice.

“Ok.” replies Yelena, she then sends a message to Wilson: “I?m working late tonight so I?m not able to come to see you.” Wilson replied at once which warms Yelena?s heart: “Ok, I?ve got things tonight as well. Don?t work too hard.”

Sitting around the table in Monalisa, they are confused but still are thinking of their own things except for Dan.

“You must be wondering why I?ve called you tonight.” Dan looks at them one by one

and makes the first sentence of the conversation.

“What do you mean? You just told me …”Riva glares at Dan when she is interrupt by Wilson.

“Oh, I think that is a good idea, isn?t it?” Wilson said slowly with no expression on his face, “I?ve a question for you, Riva.”

Tightening her lips, Yelena is upset about this atmosphere; she knows that she will lose her job tonight.

“How can you do this to me, to my family?” Wilson clenches his fists.

“Are you asking me how can I do that? Oh, dear, you must be joking. All right, let me tell you what your parents did to my parents.” Riva become enrage, “It is your parents who killed my parents just for the simple reason that they insisted on justice. It is also your parents who made me lose my sister when we were both young. And it is your parents who destroyed my life!”

“If you have any misgivings, here is all the evidence.” Dan passes a document pouch to Wilson, he then gives Riva and Yelena two information packs, “here is your DNA authentication report. I?ve promised to help you find your sister, Riva.”

Wilson?s face turns pale while he is looking at the documents. However, Dan enjoys this change and says scornfully, “You are the son of murderers who killed Riva?s parents. The funniest thing I found is that Yelena is Riva?s sister, that is to say, Riva?s parents are Yelena?s as well. Wake up! Decreed by fate, you cannot stay with each other.”

“Shut up!” Yelena cries, “she is not my sister, you are a malicious swindler!” She then runs out of the restaurant and rushes into the road not noticing that there is a truck which will soon collide her in few seconds. She feels that someone pushing her to the side of the road. After recovering from scare, Yelena sees that there is someone lying dead in the pool of blood in front of the truck. She runs towards the person only to find that it is Riva

“Why, why do you rescue me?” Yelena yells with a stream of tears.

“Because I believe you are my sister.” Riva says faintly and weakly, “now I?m going to be with our parents, please cherish your life, my poor Yelena.”

“Don?t leave me alone, please!” Yelena implores, “I believe you that you are my sister, you are my sister!”

Two days later, Dan holds a private memorial service for Riva with Yelena being the only kinsfolk. After posting a message, which is said: “Sorry, I can compensate my life for the fault of my parents had done, don?t blame them. Thanks for all the things you have done for me. Your life will be better without me.” to Yelena, Wilson stands on the top of the skyscraper, which belonged to his father before, he finally jumps. Since then, no one can find Yelena, including Dan, she has disappeared. However, though Dan?s company achieved great fame, he can never have veritable happiness any more.

PEP小学英语Story Time教学感想与课例 PEP小学英语Story Time版块有着极其丰富的教学价值，故事短小精悍，通俗易懂，情节简单，非常适合在课堂有限时间内让学生阅读。故事以卡通连环画与英文句子相结合的形式呈现，插图不仅色彩鲜艳，而且生动有趣。故事中的语言切合本单元的教学目标，故事材料围绕本单元主题，以本单元所学的词汇和句型为主，并适当拓展，突出了本单元的学习重点。总而言之Story time教学能够有效激发学生的学习兴趣，能够有效提高学生英语学习的效率，能够提高学生英语学习的各项能力。 尽管Story Time版块为英语教学提供了丰富的语言教学素材，但在实际教学中，Story Time教学流于形式，发挥不了Story Time教学的优势。究其原因，除了由于对Story Time版块的教学价值缺乏认识外，主要是因为英语课时不够。在每周3课时的情况下，教师普遍认为没有更多时间教学Story Time版块的内容。 下面我以PEP小学英语四年级下册Unit 4 Part C Story Time为例，谈谈如何开展Story time教学。 Story time教学可以通过前置、融合、后延等方式，利用Story Time的优势，更有效地输入语言，提高学生综合语言运用能力，让学生学会在交际中运用所学语言。 一、提前渗透，即前置。 Story time教学是建立在每一个单元扎实而有成效的教学基础上的，基础知识的教学对Story time教学起着至关重要的作用，所以我们在开展Part A和Part B教学时,要能够总体把握单元的知识脉络,事先把Story time的内容有机渗透到教学中,不要孤立地处理教材。例如，我在开展Unit 4 Part C Story Time教学时，首先对Unit 4 It’s warm today进行整体把握。借助课件，我先呈现天气、季节、服装图片，让学生复习与天气、服装类单词，如天气类：cold hot warm cool sunny cloudy rainy snowy windy。服装类：skirt dress sweater pants shorts jeans socks 。然后通过课件，出示一段句型：What’s the weather like in today? My English Story Part 1(Past) Before entering middle school, English is a remote and mysterious realm I roughly have not ever touched. In other words, I began to learn English till I was 12 years old, about 5 or more years later than other children around me. And hence I have a rough time when I attempt to learn it. For instance, asked by my classmates, “What is your name, please?”, I felt so inferior and downcast because I may hardly recite the 26 letters at that time. Fortunately for me, my English teacher, Mrs. Sun, encouraged and helped me a lot. She gave me extra classes during her noon break. She told me I should never be too timid to use English and must have enough valor to speak loudly. With her selfless help, I finally caught up with my classmates after months of hard working. I felt enlightened and became interesting in English, though I could only say measly several simple sentences such as “Good morning” and “How old are you”. Afterwards my English learning gradually turned in a relatively positive direction. However, the primary force I studied English was simple, just to get a higher school record to go to a better high school. And in the high school, it changed to go to a better university. As a result of this simple but inappropriate motive, after being accepted by Harbin Institute of Technology to get a bachelor's degree and breezing through the CET4, 6, I hardly learned English for quite a long time, nearly two years. On one occasion, I read a poem from Tagore’s Stray Bird. Different fro m my usual reading, it is written in English. And it gave me more fantastic sense than when I read its Chinese translation. This fantastic sense gave me totally new aspiration to relearn English. As I found I extremely need English to know more about the world. Part 2(Present) Trying to get my master’s degree smoothly, I currently use English in readings of foreign literature in my field of expertise. Due to the previous learning, I may digest some elementary literature with the help of my teachers and dictionaries. But that is not enough, I must try to learn more. Very luckily, I get a foreign teacher, Mrs. Taylor, to give me guidance in learning English. This is the first time I get in touch with a native speaker of English so frequently. Mrs. Taylor speaks clearly and fluently, it is a relish to go to her class. In her class, we enjoy harmonious and relaxed atmosphere she establishes for us . She not only tells us how to learn English effectively, but also gives us much more knowledge about the foreign world. Watching the movies she recommends to us, we improve our English, at the same time, we begin to think more about the gap between China and the western world in politics, economy and culture. On the other side, I integrate my English learning in daily leisure and entertainments.
