Good morning, everyone. My name is SongYing. Today, I will say something about procrastination.

This is what I want to say. Firstly, I will talk about the definition of procrastination. The second are the phenomena of procrastination in life. The third are influences of procrastination. Finally, I will give some ways to solve it.

What is procrastination? Different scholars have different definitions.

But, generally speaking, procrastination is illogical delay behavior. As I see, Procrastinators are the people who are too lazy to do their work. Overall, this is a bad habit.

There is a question: Are you Procrastinators? Let us look at a comic first. 6

At the beginning, Swore to myself: I will not surf online today. I must finish my paper today. After few minutes: God, I have so much homework to do.

I should relax online for a little while first. Then, I found there are many

things online interesting, and I am addicted to the clothes and stars.

Three hours later, I still do not want to do my work. I realized that my procrastination come again.

In our lives, there are many things like this. For example, only a few minutes left, still calmly packed the things. Then hastily rushed to the classroom, always late for class.

Knowing that a few days later there is an exam, she still does not read books. Until the day before the exam, she stays up all night to review.

Do you have those experiences?

I have! I am a procrastinator. First week of school, English teacher said that everyone should be ready to give a speech. But, I thought there are so many students in our classroom, when the speech turn to me it should be after a long time. This Monday, I was asked to have a speech on Thursday.

I did not make any preparation. The two days, I stayed up late to make it.

Is it good? I do not think so. It is bad.

But, Why?

As the picture shows: the longer you wait the worse it gets.

It has many negative impacts: First, emotional afflict. If you start doing your homework by the deadline, you will be fearful, worring, nervous. Second, if you often finish the work in a hurry, your grades will drop. Last but not least, do not do the work you should do, but do something else, you waste your time.

And if it's getting worse, some people might feel inferior. More seriously, it may become mentally ill.

It is so bad, and how to deal with it?

First, do a list of things what you should do today, and divide the thing which is hard into several parts.

Then, arrange a time for everything, and write down the ways how to do it.

Finally, the most important is that you must take action. If you do not do it, talk is talk. In order to change the habit of procrastination, you must begin to do it.

Don't procrastinated any more; if you finish the work in time, you will feel relaxed. If you continue to delay, you will be like this: feel like the end of the world coming.

So, do you still have any reasons for procrastination?
