Environmental problems are becoming more and more serious all over the world.

With the development of industry and agriculture, cars make great noises and give off poisonous gas. Because of population expansion and overdevelopment, resources has become less and less. Trees on the hills have been cut down, and waste water is being poured continuously into rivers. The whole ecological balance of the earth is changing and massive destruction of environment has brought about negative effects and even poses a great threat to man’s existence.

We must face the situation that exists and take actions to solve our environmental problems with the hope that all these measures will be effective and bring back a healthful environment.

Protection of cultural relics

The author gives an introduction to Feng Jicai who makes outstanding contributions to the work of protecting cultural relics. With his efforts, more and more people become concerned about protecting cultural relics.

Cultural relics represent historic culture. They tell people what happened in the past and they are the roots of a city or a place. As far as I know, every city is trying to protect its cultural relics. For example, the government makes policies to regul ate people’s behavior at the relics and call for people to take actions to save the cultural relics.

However, some people have no such awareness or even do harm to the relics. When I was travelling, I could see some cuttings or odd drawings on the histori c places. It’s really wicked to do so.

I admire what Feng Jicai has done. I learn the importance of protecting cultural relics from him. I think everyone of us should try to do something for the protection of cultural relics. I think the government and schools should teach people more about the protection of cultural relics and the people should mind their behavior when travelling.
