高职高专学生通过省大学英语三级考试是衡量其具有英语真实水平的标志之一。平时备考是基础,应试技巧是关键,考试中时间的灵活机变运用至关重要。考生特别应该明白考试各环节时间的巧妙安排,这样当其正式面临考试时,就会镇定自如,发挥出最佳水平。

(一)四川省大学英语三级考试试题的一些具体信息

四川省大学英语三级考试试题具有相当的稳定性。考生了解历年四川I省大学英语三级考试的测试项目、内容、题型、分值及时问分配是考生参加三级考试科学合理安排时间的前提。以下是四川省大学英语三级考试试题的一些具体信息。

(二 )四川省大学英语三级考试时间分配技巧

根据上表提供的信息,结合考生的实际情况,笔者认为考试时间分配可以作一定适度的调整,更有利于学生英语水平的发挥。

1.听力理解部分用时 20分钟,按三级考试大纲和该题录音要求,放音时间 18分钟,涂答题卡 2分钟。但历年实际考试中。试题放录音时间在 l5一l8分钟。此后暂时不涂答案。抽2分钟来完成下一大题。

2.单项选择做题时间 20分钟。在考试中,考生费时较多,每小题分值小,且困难复杂,效率较低。笔者对本院 2000。2001,2002三届学生测试成绩抽查分析。平均分在 8—1O分之间。笔者对三届学生测试,只用 l5分钟完成此题,抽样调查对象平均分在 7—9分。因此,笔者建议考生用 15分钟完成该题。抽出 5分钟完成阅读理解。

3.阅读理解是三级考试中重中之重,对历年三级考试阅读理解题的分析和调查,该题得分 70%,考生过级概率达 6o%,如该题得分 80%.过级概率达70%。该题是由四篇体裁各异的文章组成。每篇五个小题,每小题 2分。完成该大题时间 35分钟,考虑到每小题分值较大,并且 5个小题均出自一篇文章,为保证此大题得分高,最好用 45分钟完成。更重要的是,该大题是后一大题英汉翻译的基础。如果对四篇文章理解有偏误,下一大题英译汉得分就不会很高,从而大大影响整个过级概率。

4.英汉翻译。该大题四个小题,均摘自于阅读理解四篇文章,每小题 2分,此题与阅读理解是相辅相成。笔者对多年考生完成此题结果分析,阅读理解的得分与英汉翻译的得分是成比例的。完成该题建议用 15分钟,因为阅读理解已多花了 lO分钟。这样对文章理解也较深刻。在翻译过程中,还有可能纠正阅读理解所产生的偏误。

5.作文。作文分值 15分.所用时间 3O分钟。笔者在 8次省大学英语三级监考过程中及平时对学生的作文专项训练中发现.经过专业训练的 80%学生在 20分钟内完成作文,得分平均分在 1O分左右.未经训练的 8O%学生在 25分钟内完成该题,平均分在 7分左右。因此,完成此大题可节约出 5分钟完成阅读理解。

二、熟知四川省大学英语三级考试指令。巧分配其中的暂停时间

四川省大学英语三级考试考场指令播放时间一般在 13—15分钟。其中先后共暂停 5次,前三次暂停时间共为 5分半钟,为监考教师发答题卡和考生完成答题卡上所有信息。时间充余。后两次暂停时间共 5分半钟。是监考教师发试卷一和试卷二及考生填试卷二上信息时间。学生完成此项任务只需用 2分半钟。将剩下的 3分钟充分运用于听力部分。

三、完成听力题。抢读预测是关键

充分利用指令中挤出的时间。快速抢读听力部分各选项,并预测可能的答案,做到心中有数,指令中发试卷一和试卷二,以及题试卷二上信息共用5分半钟,实际最多用2分半钟完成,剩余 3分钟,正式放录音前有一段试听声音。约 30

秒钟,共计 3分30秒。那么利用这段时间进行昕前抢读预测.做听力题,抢读预测非常关键。听力部分共分三节.第一节 1O个选择题。每小题 1分,每小题是简单的一问一答试题。第二节是一小段文字,两个选择题,每小题 1分;第三节是一小篇文章,六个填空题,每小题O .5分。根据听力部分的特点.具体实施如下:

(一)充分利用指令中 5次暂停节约的 3分钟时间,抢读预测第二节和第三节。因为第二节和第三节较第一节难且内容多。三分钟刚好抢读预测完第二节和第三节内容。

(二 )当录音放至考场指令第 6、7、8条时,需要一分半钟.利用这一时间快速抢读预测第一节共 10个小题。全部完成该题大部分的第一次预测。

(三)按照省大学英语三级考试录音标准要求,听力部分各小题之间间隔 5

秒钟,也就是播完前一小题后,暂停 5秒钟,再紧接着播放下一题。当录音读完前一小题后,毫不犹豫用两秒钟选定答案。用剩余的三秒钟抢读预测下一’题,如此循环往复,就完成了再一次抢读预测。

(四)第二节读完后完成四个小题,停顿 2O秒钟,录音读第三节要求约用一分钟,充分运用这两部分时间再次抢读预测第三节。第二次预测重点放在所填的词上,联系上下文猜测该词的大意、词性及词形等。
