一nothing gold can stay

Nothing gold can stay

Nature's first green is gold,

Her hardest hue to hold.

Her early leaf's a flower; 她初发的叶子如同一朵花,;

But only so an hour.

Then leaf subsides leaf,

So Eden sank to grief.

So down gose down to day, 破晓黎明延续至晃晃白昼。

Nothing gold can stay.

二the road not taken

The Road Not Taken Robert Frost

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,

And sorry I could not travel both 可惜我不能同时去涉足

And be one traveler, long I stood

And looked down one as far as I could 我向着一条路极目望去

To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,

And having perhaps the better claim,

Because it was grassy and wanted wear;

Though as for that the passing there 虽然在这两条小路上

Had worn them really about the same, 都很少留下旅人的足迹

And both that morning equally lay

In leaves no step had trodden black.

Oh, I kept the first for another day!

Yet knowing how way leads on to way, 但我知道路径延绵无尽头

I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh

Somewhere ages and ages hence:

Two roads diverged in a wood,and I—一片森林里分出两条路

I took the one less traveled by,

And that has made al lthe difference.

And that has made all the difference”......

三dust of snow

The way a crow

Shook down on me 向我俯冲而下

The dust of snow

From a hemlock tree 从铁杉树上飘下(铁杉树因为常见于坟场,常代表死亡)Has given my heart 我原本沮丧的心房

A change of mood

And saved some part

Of a day I had rued.

Richard Cory

Richard Cory

- Edwin Arlington Robinson -

" The Children Of The Night " 理查.珂利

Whenever Richard Cory went down town,

We people on the pavement looked at him: 我们,街上的人,两眼瞪圆

He was a gentleman from sole to crown,

Clean favored, and imperially slim.

And he was always quietly arrayed,

And he was always human when he talked;

But still he fluttered pulses when he said, 当他向人问好,人们不禁

"Good-morning," and he glittered when he walked.

And he was rich - yes, richer than a king -

And admirably schooled in every grace;

In fine we thought that he was everything

To make us wish that we were in his place.

So on we worked, and waited for the light,

And went without the meat, and cursed the bread;

And Richard Cory, one calm summer night,

Went home and put a bullet through his head.

五the red wheelbarrow

The Red Wheelbarrow

By William Carlos Williams

so much depends upon

a red wheel barrow

glazed with rain water

beside the white chickens

如果我们把这首诗歌还原成一个独立的句子,即: so much depends upon a red wheel barrow glazed with rain water beside the white chickens。

Imagination is not to avoid reality, not is it description nor an evocation of objects or situations, it is to say that poetry does not temper with the world but moves it...it affirms reality most powerfully, since reality needs no personal support exist from human actions."

六Death, Be Not Proud

I’m going out to fetch the little calf That’s standing by the mother. It’s so young, It totters when she licks it with her tongue. I shan’t be gone long.—You come too. 牧场 罗伯特·弗罗斯特 (1874–1963) 我去清一清牧场的泉水, 我只停下来把落叶全耙去 (还瞧着泉水变得明净—也许); 我不会去得太久。—你也来吧。 我去把那幼小的牛犊抱来, 它站在母牛身边,小得可怜,一摇一晃,当母牛给她舔舔;我不会去得太久。—你也来吧。 (方平译) Daffodils William Wordsworth (1770-1850) I wondered lonely as a cloud That floats on high o'er vales and hills, When all at once I saw a crowd, A host, of golden daffodils;

Cut Grass Cut grass lies frail: Brief is the breath Mown stalks exhale. Long, long the death It dies in the white hours Of young-leafed June With chestnut flowers, With hedges snowlike strewn, White lilac bowed, Lost lanes of Queen Anne's lace, And that high-builded cloud Moving at summer's pace. To Waken an Old Lady Old age is a flight of small cheeping birds skimming bare trees above a snow glaze.

Gaining and failing they are buffeted by a dark wind -- But what? On harsh weedstalks the flock has rested -- the snow is covered with broken seed husks and the wind tempered with a shrill piping of plenty. Looking at the stars, I know quit well That, for all they care, I can go to hell, But on earth indifference is the least We have to dread from man or beast.

1.A Grain of Sand ——by William Blake To see a world in a grain of sand And a heaven in a wild flower Hold infinity in the palm of your hand And eternity in an hour 2.Seize the day Gather the rose-buds while you may Old time is still a-flying And this same flower that smiles today Tomorrow will be dying. 3.Dreams Hold fast to dreams For if dreams die Life is a broken-winged bird That cannot fly Hold fast to dreams For when dreams go Life is a barren field Frozen with snow 4.The furthest distance in the world

The furthest distance in the world Is not between life and death But when I stand in front of you Yet you don't know that I love you The furthest distance in the world Is not when I stand in front of you Yet you can't see my love But when undoubtedly knowing the love from both Yet cannot be together The furthest distance in the world Is not being apart while being in love But when painly can not resist the yearning Yet prending you have never been in my heart The furthest distance in world Is not but using one's different heart To dig an uncrossable river For the one who loves you

If equal affection cannot be, 倘若无法产生同样的感情, Let the more loving one be me. Admirer as I think I am Of stars that do not give a damn,

I cannot, now I see them, say I missed one terribly all day. Were all stars to disappear or die I should learn to look at an empty sky And feel its total dark sublime Though this might take me a little time.

For me shed the leaves off I'm too old as to shell off a layer of earth And another layer of earth once more Seeing these layers of earth I know that going out is the bonfire on my chest reserved for you And departing is the strength kept for you in my arm As far as my eyes, tardy and erratic They start to see everything Actually, I'm very old For the latest short span of my life I just keep on asking the small tree in front of the door For me to shed the last leaf While the world is changing and time is flying Why I say that you don’t come, I'm dare not to grow old ’Cause when I’m alone I do still cherish a very slim hope that you also think so 【篇二】优美的经典英语诗歌带翻译 假如你不够快乐 也不要把眉头深锁 人生本来短暂 为什么还要栽培苦涩 打开尘封的门窗

——(王之涣《登黄鹤楼》) 如:波西·比希·雪莱的《Music,When Soft V oices Die》(《轻柔的声音寂灭后》): Rose leaves, when the rose is dead, Are heaped for the beloved’s bed; And so thy thoughts, when thou art gone, Love itself shall slumber on.

Digging

Digging Seamus Heaney Between my finger and my thumb The squat pen rests; as snug as a gun. Under my window a clean rasping sound When the spade sinks into gravelly ground: My father, digging. I look down Till his straining rump among the flowerbeds Bends low, comes up twenty years away Stooping in rhythm through potato drills Where he was digging. The coarse boot nestled on the lug, the shaft Against the inside knee was levered firmly. He rooted out tall tops, buried the bright edge deep To scatter new potatoes that we picked Loving their cool hardness in our hands. By God, the old man could handle a spade, Just like his old man. My grandfather could cut more turf in a day Than any other man on Toner's bog.

The campus, an academy of trees, under which some hand, the wind's I guess, had scattered the pale light of thousands of spring beauties, petals stained with pink veins; secret, blooming for themselves. We sat among them. Your long fingers, thin body, and long bones of improbable genius; some scattered gene as Kafka must have had. Your deep voice, this passing dust of miracles. That simple that was myself, half conscious, as though each moment was a page
