The 1st period :
首先通过Free Talk 复习学过的形容词，进而呈现形容词的比较级。如：This ruler is long . Is that ruler long ? Which ruler is longer ? 等，让学生通过听、感知、模仿来接受新知，然后，引导学生发现比较级在句子中使用时的特点以及形容词比较级的词形变化规律及其发音，最后，通过设置真实情景，让学生进行操练，达到巩固新知的目的。本课时的作业可以布置学生写写形容词原级和比较级。
The 2nd period
1)Free talk 在真实情景中复习含有形容词比较级的句型
2）Game ：Listen and say 让学生根据所听内容，用一个含有形容词比较级的句子进行描述，例如：T：Mr Green is tall . Miss Li is not tall . S: Mr Green is taller than Miss Li . 或者Miss Li is shorter than Mr Green .同时，可通过设置情景导入as... as ，为对话学习做铺垫。例如： T: Look , I have a new pencil . He has a new pencil , too . Is mine longer than his ? 引导和帮助学生回答No, yours is as long as his .
3)Presentation：通过课件或挂图介绍对话背景－－学生带着问题听课文录音－－回答问题
4）Consolidation :通过不同方式的朗读，对对话进行巩固
5）Homework：摘抄并翻译对话中的一些词组；听录音熟读对话。
The 3 rd period
学唱歌曲" I wish I was taller ".－－－由歌曲自然过渡到句型的复习，如：Are you tall ? Are you as tall as ...? Are you taller than ...? ,在此可引导学生尽量多用所学的形容词进行操练－－－游戏，复习形容词比较级－－－学习D部分：看图问答，听录音问答，跟录音说，填空，复述对话－－作业：听录音背对话，抄写D中的句子，完成练习册中的部分练习。

唱本单元英语歌曲－－Free talk --- 游戏：复习句型－－通过在真实情景中的谈话，教授新词centimeter－－用chain drills 进行巩固操练,例如：I'm 160 cetimeters . How tall are you ? --I'm 163 centimeters . I'm taller than you . How tall are you ? ---I'm 155 centimeters . I'm shorter than you. How tall are you ?---以次类推。－－－学习Part E－－完成判断练习－－
－任务：调查三位同学想做什么及其理由－－－作业可以做一些造句（用形容词

The 5 th period
唱歌－－谈话－－问答（用12页上的表格，充分复习本单元的形容词比较级的

过游戏呈现四个单词，读，体会发音，说学过的含有or的单词，试着用以上单
词造句（鼓励学生随心所欲，只要语法对，意思合乎逻辑就可以）－－听录音，
说书上的句子（可以仿照李阳疯狂英语进行比赛，看谁一口气说得遍数多）－－
－作业：完成练习册练习，预习下一单元。
The 1st period

3. 形容词的比较级构成：（*，#）
（1）在词尾加-er
（2）以-e结尾的单词，加-r
（3）以一个元音加一个辅音字母结尾的单词，双写这个辅音字母，再加-er （4）以一个辅音字母加y结尾的单词，去y加-ier
4 . 形容词的比较级用于两者进行比较时，它的结构是比较级+than , 注意than 后代词要用宾格。
