Introduction

In recent years, the reading rate of the nationals is on the low side, and on a downward trend, according to the authoritative research. Obviously, that is unsuitable with the general trend of continued steady development of economic in our country. T he phenomenon has caught people’s attention and caused widely discussion in the whole society.

But what we care about is the situation of reading among the College Students, which is related to the national construction.as for the college students, the knowledge from textbook is far from enough. We should do some outside reading. As a saying goes, Books are the stepping stones to human progress. As the crystallization of human civilization,books play an important role in the progress of society. We do the research to learn the specific situation of college students’ reading, seeking the trend and misunderstanding of college students’ reading,and to let more people care about this problem.

What kind of books do college students read after class?

1. Reference books: They are the first choice, as a popular catchword goes that ‘It’s extremely important to acquire more certificates under the huge pressure of employment. ’ The catchword shows that most majority of college students spend their leisure time focusing on the issues of social employment, reading books related to the present employment situation. At least, the futures of college students are crucial to them.

2. Quality extension: Nowadays, with the increa sing improvement of people’s lives and higher requirement from employment, college students gradually begin paying more attention on self-qualities and develop in a all-round way.

3. Fashion magazines: Most girls in college pay close attention to these shiny magazines. Under the influence of some physical factors, they care more about their dress. At the same time, they seem to be more sensitive to fashion elements.

4 .Entertainment novels: They are what almost every college student longs for. Among the students, girls take up quite a large amount. There are some romantic and aesthetic love stories with beautiful sentences, which touch readers’ heart deeply. Besides, Kongfu novels and magic fictions are boys’ favorites. Some boys are so absorbed in the plo ts of these fictions that they spend almost every minute on them. As a result , less time is used for study.

According to result of the research,somecharacteristics of college students’ reading show up as follows:

1.Bad habits of studying. The research shows that few students can be initiative to do some

reading or seek information on the internet to solve problem.

2.Narrow scope of knowledge. About 20% students don’t read outside books and most books

that students chose to read are network novels.

3.Don’t know how to find good books. Most students don’t know what books they should read

and how to find the suitable books.

Analysis of the result and cause

1、Nowadays,the schools put much emphasis on improving the quality of teaching and they seldom pay attention to updating the books of the library. So, there are not so many kinds of books in the library that students are not interested in them. This is the reason why the number of the students who borrow books from the library has been declining.

2、Some books can’t be found in the library, so students don’t often go to the library.

3、Some students think that they don’t have enough time to enjoy extracurricular reading or they have no interest in them. They’d rather read the books about their own majors.

4、The Internet has become another important factor. With the development of the Internet, more and more students have been distracted from the paper books.

5、Another reason is that there isn’t a good atmosphere for reading, which can stimulate students’ interest in reading.

6、It is also the gender differences that lead to the different number of the books which students borrow from the library.

Suggestions

1、Schools can set up “the Reading Corner”which can guide the students in reading and can also add the pages of Hot/(Popular)Readings and Recommended Readings to the school website.

2、Schools can hold some activities such as playing some films adapted from some famous works to attract the student’s interest in reading.

3、The results have showed that many students want to buy some books but are blocked by the high prices. In this case, every class can gather up the names and number of the books they need, and buy them in large scale.

4、Besides, the school can improve their advisory work to promote reading among the students.

Conclusion:

(1)The contemporary college students' reading interests are various:

This survey suggests that college students have a great diversity of after-class reading interests. They read books of various categories covering different fields.

(2)The contemporary college students prefer interests with entertainment and recreation: Interest of a individual with entertainment and recreation means a lot to college students’ extracurricular life, and it is the very way in which college students can achieve both individual harmonious development and personal socialization. At the same time, we notice that college students pay too much attention to literature reading matter, absorbed in the interpretation of others’ life and neglect their own realistic life. This obviously is unfavorable to students’ improvement of self-quality.

(3)The contemporary college students’ interest is with social and practical:

Production and development of interest is based on need, thus college students’ ch oice of their interest also reflects their personal need and connections with social. Including to the survey,

literature, English, computer and professional guidance are the most often topics students read after class. College students’ concern on practic al English, computer course fits in with the realistic development of the society, which also reflects social need for talents. Nowadays, need of all classes of the society for talents of English and computer as well as the multiplicity of knowledge, is the inward motivation for college students to develop their interest.

关于大学生课外阅读情况的调查报告 书籍是全世界的营养品,书籍是人类进步的阶梯,书籍是人类知识的传承工具……古人说的好:书中自有黄金屋,书中自有颜如玉。古往今来,无数名人对优秀的书籍推崇备至。毋庸置疑,书,作为人们日常生活中重要的组成部分,在历史的发展进程中,发挥着举足轻重的作用。读书能够增加内涵、陶冶情操、培养心情、成熟性格,更能净化心灵,提升境界。 美国最近的一份调查显示:历届白宫主人无不嗜书如命,而且大都从学生时代就养成读书的习惯。读书能够开阔学生的视野,增长学生的见识,是学生了解世界、接触社会、促进学生素质的发展的重要途径。众所周知,一个大学生综合素质的提高,仅局限于对课本知识的了解是远远不够的因此要想提高学生的素质,拓展知识面,就应该了解其在课外阅读方面的基本情况,从中发现问题,探索如何解决问题,从而提出合理的建议,有针对性地给予广大同学指导和帮助,努力提高大学生课外阅读的兴趣和质量,引导当代大学生正确合理地进行课外阅读。 针对当代大学生课外阅读情况,我组同学特作此调查,以问卷调查的形式,旨在了解中国大学生课外阅读情况,能够为学校的第二教育贡献一点微薄之力。

一、调查基本情况 调查时间: 10月22日至 11月1日。 调查地点: 调查对象: 调查方法:采用书面问卷形式(实发问卷110份,收回107份,有效问卷100份)。 调查目的:经过调查,分析当今不同年级大学生的课外阅读情况,找出影响大学生课外阅读量多或者少的原因和影响因素,并以此探究出增进大学生提高课外阅读量的办法。同时经过问卷调查的方式找到大学生们读书的动力及目的,并以此希望学校开展一系列的读书活动。希望大学生们以此办法并抓住学校举办活动的契机提高自己的阅读量,提高自己的思维素养。 二、问卷分析 经过对调查结果的分析,我们得出以下结论: 1、读书时间相对较短,读书动力不足 在对调查结果的分析中能够看出,当代大学生读书时间明显偏短,很少有同学一天花3小时以上读书,平均时间大约为一天一个小时,这些数据里还包括长时间不间断阅读小说。在课余时间里,有时短短的十来分钟,有时长时间的玩手机,看小说。严

——德伯里 为了充分的了解在校大学的课外阅读情况,掌握其影响因素,研究分析产生这些因素的原因,提高同学们的阅读意识,使他们的课余生活更加充实,最重要的是学生进行课外阅读,既可让学生直接接受书中的艺术鉴赏的角度去潜移默化地感染学生,培养他们健康高尚的审美情。为了进一步明确书籍在我校大学生课余生活中的切实影响与大学生目前阅读存在的问题,我们组针对大学生课外阅读情况进行了一次网上调查。 调查目的:课外阅读在现在生活中占有多少的时间,我们不得而知?从小学开始或是更久之前,父母老师就拿着不少课外读物让孩子阅读,丰富的课外知识是语文综合能力的基础,但就是,目前的实际情况,繁重的课内作业,紧凑的生活安排,使阅读时间减少,阅读内容不深刻,那么,在进入大学后的大学生是否还会利用时间充实自己的阅读量,加大提高自己的文化修养。 调查对象:贵州大学新校区校内100名学生进行无记名问卷调查 调查方法:我们采用整群随机抽样调查方法 调查意义:其意义在本组同学的相互指导下,能独立完成从问卷的设计到统计数据的全过程,并确保调查的真实性。 调查时间:2015年8月25日-2015年9月1日 问卷结构及发放回收情况:全部为客观题,共有25选择题。共发了100份,收回100份,收回率100%
