Before I watched the film “Brave heart”, my understanding of freedom was very simple. However, as a result of traitors? betrayed, he was arrested by the England authorities. No matter how the English promised or threatened, Wallace never surrendered. What moved me deeply was the moment when Wallace was executed. He cried out …freedom? with all his strength. For freedom, Wallace gave his life. Also, from that moment, my understanding of freedom changed. Freedom is not only means to eat. It is a God-given gift to everyone. That means everyone has the right to resist despotism and tyranny. We are God?s children, not rulers. Though Wallace died, his spirit encouraged more people in Scotland to continue to fight for freedom.
