教学目标:

知识目标:掌握新词fin, cruel,endangered,chain, industry , ecosystem ,environmental

复习词组hear of , cut off , throw back , no longer, at the top of , the number of ,

能力目标: 1. 能够运用阅读策略概括段落大意。

2. 能够用英语描述鲨鱼和“猎鳍”的过程和后果。

3. 知道如何呼吁人们保护动物的语句。

情感目标:通过“猎鳍”导致鲨鱼濒临灭绝这一话题,号召人们保护动物,与大自然和谐友好相处。

教学重难点:1. 如何运用阅读策略抓主旨。 2.号召人们保护动物的文章构思及表达。

教学过程:

【导入】通过“菲律宾捕鲨鱼”视频,来导读激趣

通过一则“菲律宾居民捕鲨鱼“的视频,学习新词 cruel, endangered,同时激发学生学习兴趣,把学生引入本课的主题--save the earth.

【讲授】自读明大意

我设置了一个概括主旨大意题:

1.Fill in blanks.

Paragragh 1 Talk about ________________

Paragragh 2 Sharks are ______________ now

Paragragh3 __________ people to protect sharks .

让学生通过跳读的方式,分析文章每段的首句和尾句来概括段落大意。

【活动】细读抓关键

仔细阅读文章,回答下列问题。

Where shark fin soup is popular?

How many sharksare caught and traded every year?

How much the numbers of some kinds of sharks have fallen in the last 20 to 30 years?

What are two environmental groups against “ finning”?

让学生仔细阅读文章,查找细节,分析句子

Although we are called national treasures, the number of us are smaller and smaller. We live in the same world,we are friends. Why do you kill us ?We are edangered. Please help save us.

我给出了4个图片,让学生4人一组,根据给出的图片写出一条建议,呼吁大家保护动物,然后再叫些小组展示。最后教师给出自己的句子让学生去比较,训练写作。
