The Modbus Slave (for InTouch) utility is a Microsoft Windows based program that provides an interface between Wonderware's InTouch package (version 3.2 or later) and a Modbus Host Computer (Modbus master). The Modbus Slave follows the Standard and Daniel's Modbus protocol formats. This program enables a PC running InTouch to emulate a Modbus device and allows a Modbus master device to read and write values to/from the InTouch runtime database.

Features

Communicates to Modbus Host Computer via the RS-232 ports on the personal computer (hard-wired or modem), or via an Ethernet interface using TCP/IP. ?

Allows InTouch tags to be assigned Modbus addresses so that the Modbus Host Computer can poll the appropriate tags. ?

Can coexist with running DDE servers. ?

Function codes and register ranges are user configurable to emulate any Modbus device. ?

Import and export the configuration for off-line editing. ?

Slave can notify the InTouch application when it is being polled. ?

Both serial and TCP/IP versions provided. ?
