英语语法分成词法与句法,其中,词法研究单词得词义与词性,名形动副数,虚词包括冠代介感连。其中,实词中最重要得就是动词,动词研究谓语动词与非谓语动词，谓语动词研究时态、语态、语气与主谓一致;非谓语动词研究三种形式,分别就是动词不定式、动名词与分词,分词包括现在分词与过去分词。
以词构句,就形成句法,句法中最简单得句子叫简单句，简单句有五种基本结构，主谓、主谓宾、主谓宾宾、主谓宾补与主系表。简单句变得更加简单，就就是省略主语与谓语中得一些成分，构成省略句。把简单句得主语与谓语适当颠倒一下,就构成倒装句,倒装句分为完全倒装与不完全倒装句。
