A group of fantastic pictures show the moment a skull

(脑壳) appeared in an icy wave (波浪). In the water of Port

Stanley in Ontario, Canada, “a face” was about to

appear when Trevor Pottelberg, a photo educator born

in 1976, caught the very moment with the camera in his

hand in 2018.

“I caught the group of these seven pictures in one

second. It wasn’t until I returned home and started to

choose through all my pictures that I noticed a face in

the fourth picture of the order. If a man see it in an

ordinary way, he will not see the subtle (微妙的) changes

in each wave. The waves form and fall apart in a flash.”

He added, “I would like to call the picture ‘Father

Time’ because it looks like a face rising out of the

ocean, from the bottom of the dark depths. It tells us

that our time here on earth is limited and we can’t avoid it!” It now becomes his favorite wave photograph.

Trevor continued to explain how the face was formed.“Winds strengthen (加强) as air changes in the autumn months from October to December. The result of the fight between warm and cold air creates strong winds that drive huge waves.” he said.

Yet, the reason why a face was created in this way is still unknown. Perhaps it was just an accident. Who knows?
