There are four seasons in a year, spring, summer, autumn and winter. But spring is my favourite season. It usually comes in March in my city. Unit2 How to Plant a Tree

First,dig a hole and make sure that it’s large enough for the tree. But the hole should not be too deep. Then knock a long, strong stick into the earth in the hole. Remember to find a straight one. Next, put the tree in the hole next to the stick so that it’s straight. Put the earth back in the hole again. Push it down hard with your feet several times. Finally, tie the tree to the stick to keep it straight and water it well.

Unit 2 Plants Are Important

Plants are very important on the earth. The wind and water can’t carry the dirt away when there are plants. Plants also make everything beautiful.

Plants are very important to people and animals. Life couldn’t continue without plants. This is because plants take energy from the sun and turn it into food. It means plants can make food from the air, water and sunlight. But people and animals can’t do it. Animals eat plants and people eat animals and plants. So animals and people need plants to live. In a word, we can’t live without plants. So there are so many plants around us.

Uint 3 A Special Member

There is a special member in my family ---a lovely dog named Betty.

It has lived with us for two years, and we all love it. Last week, my parents took me and Betty to a park. At noon, when my parents were busy getting ready for the picnic. I walked to a river nearby. Betty followed me happily. I fell into the river when I was trying to pick a flower. Betty barked and jumped into the water at once. When my parents heard Betty barking, they ran to the river quickly and they saw Betty was pushing me to the bank with its mouth.

Now we love Betty more than before, and we consider it as a member of my family.

Unit 3 Protect Animals in Danger

Animals are our friends. We live in the same home. Animals even help people sometimes. But many animals have been in danger of disappearing in the world. Such as pandas, tigers and so on.

We are not alone in the world. We could not live without plants and animals around us, so protecting them is very important. We should call on people to do something useful to help the animals. For example, we can save money to buy much food for animals. We can also stop people from killing animals. If each of us can plant a tree or the government can build more wild zoos, the world will be more beautiful.

Unit 3 What Can We Do to Protect Giant Pandas Giant Pandas are in danger today. Farmers cut down too many trees and forests to make farmland and build houses. Bamboo and leaves are getting fewer and fewer. Hunters hunt them for their fur. So it’s time for people to do something to protect them. We should build more giant panda reserves, and warn people not to buy clothes made of animal fur. If we keep doing these, we will have more and more pandas.

Today computers and Internet are important in our life. We use them to send e-mails, to chat, to shop and so on. It makes our life easier in many ways. With the Internet, we can learn about almost everything. It helps us get things done more quickly. For example, we can connect and share information in seconds. If a friend lives far away, the Internet makes it easy to stay in touch.

Every coin has two sides. Spending too much time online is harmful to people’s health. Aside from that, some people use the Internet to steal others’ personal Information.

So we should use the Internet properly and carefully.

Unit4 The Internet Make Our Life Easier

Today computers and Internet are very important in our life. We use them to send e-mails, to chat, to shop and so on. It makes our life easier in many ways.
