Everyone would like to be remembered. A few people even try to do something that no one else in history has ever tried to do. These people sometimes have their names recorded in the Guinness Book of Records.

Another group of record makers held the highest dinner party in the world. Nine people from Sydney, Australia ,climbed Mountain Huascaran on June 28 1989.The climbers carried a dinner table, chairs, and a meal up the mountain .When they reached the top ,they all put on warm suits for dinner.

“No man is an island” is well-known from John Donne’s Devotion, written more than three hundred years ago. Even now people still agree with him. No one can live a completely isolated life. Without other people, life becomes empty and sad. We all need to have friends.

When I was 14, I began an after-school job to work for a newspaper, The Houston Post. I was sent to some of the city’s worst neighborhoods to sell newspapers door to door. Even though the work was very hard, I was thankful for it.

It was a challenge because people didn’t like a stranger knocking on their doors, especially a kid trying to get them to buy something.
