一popular adj.修饰人时,意为“受欢迎的;受喜爱的”。

如:Mr Wang is a popular teacher in our school.

王老师在我们学校是一位受欢迎的老师。

另外:popular 还有_____________意思。如:This song is very popular.

这首歌很流行。

二.Stop的用法。Stop v 意为“停止”

如:1The boy soon stops crying. 男孩很快就不再哭了。2.You’d better stop

to have a rest. 你最好停下来休息一会儿

思考:stop doing sth 意思是________________________.

stop to do sth 意思是________________________

三.a little bit. 意为“一点少许”,用来修饰形容词或副词,相当于a bit

和a little.但比a bit和a little表示的程度稍弱。

此外,a little和a bit在否定句中意思恰恰相反。如:

1)Mary is not a little tired.玛丽很累。2)The young man is not a bit tired这

四.tell jokes意为“讲笑话”
