1.Online Romance
With the widespread of the Internet, there have appeared many online romances. The lovers over the Internet, date on the net and finally fall in love with each other. Peoples’ opinions on it vary greatly.
Some people think online love is very romantic and exciting. It is an amazing thing that the Internet brings together two strange persons far was from each other. Moreover, they think that online romance, compared with realistic love, attaches more emphasis on the appeal to each other in spirit and involves less material conditions. However, many others think differently. In their eyes, the Internet is a virtual world, on which there impossibility exist real, enduring love since it is very difficult to tell the real from the fake by the Internet. Besides, they argue that pursuing online romance is sometimes very dangerous because there are many cheaters on the net.
As far as I am concerned, it is an easy and fast way for people to make new people by the Internet. However, people should have more protection and safety consciousness when making friends by the Internet. Don’t give out rashly your personal information to strangers on the net. And keep it in your mind that you should have more realistic knowledge of each other before starting a romance.
2. Health or Wealth?
Some people hold the opinion that wealth is more essential to us .To start with, wealth is the basis of all necessities of our life. Moreover, wealth may provide us with better living surroundings or better education and make our lives more convenient and civilized. Eventually, wealth can buy us better medical care and prolong our life span.
In contrast, others believe that health plays a more vital role in our learning and routine. For one thing, health is the basis of wealth. Health provides the likelihood of being rich. For another, health is the wealth to the ordinary, that is, we only have health as the best and the most fundamental investment in our learning. Eventually, health is the only origin of happiness.
When it comes to me, health is more critical to us. Health shouldn’t be regarded as the mortgage of wealth, but as the source of happiness and long life. Health makes us possible to work hard, perform satisfactorily and lead a happy and successful life in the future.
3. My views on telecommunication
It goes without saying that telecommunication has great impact on our routine in many aspects. We live on watching TV, making calls and even surfing the internet. Its advantages can be listed as follows.
First and foremost, telecommunication offers us the most convenience, shorten the distance among people. Besides, it helps us obtain the information rapidly and cheaply. Last, but not the least, we can keep contact with our relatives and friends promptly. Meanwhile, its disadvantages shouldn’t be ignored. To start with, if we are addicted to telecommunication, it is too expensive. Moreover, some information may be cheating and even wrong. Worst of all, we are becoming lazier than before as if we depend on it too much.
When it comes to me, I believe that if we put telecommunication under control, it is beneficial. For one thing, we can get knowledge and information fast. For another, we can make
the most of it to learn and to practice.
4. Bravely face up to challenges
Throughout our life-time, we are always confronted with lots of challenges as well as difficulties. To each test, we should devote our enthusiasm and discretion and energy; otherwise we would absolutely become good-for-nothings. If we put an examination room into perspective, we would lead a meaningful and rewarding life.
In an examination, when we do multiple choice questions, we have to make the choice between evil and good, between power and character, and between bias and justice. We must correct our wrong answers to difficult questions, and similarly we should learn to put our behaviors in right directions. And most important of all, we should abide by laws and regulations just as we must obey laws rules in an exam room. Unless we act discretely and conscientiously in the face of challenges, great consequences will inevitably follow.
Anyway, we are put into an exam room at the moment when we cane into the world, we are given a test paper, each page of which should be completed it we want to find the true meaning of life.
5. On Students Selecting Lecturers
In recent years, students in a growing number of universities are given the right to choose the lecturers for their lessons. Such a bold step toward educational reform, understandably, has triggered some debates over whether students should be given this much power and whether the students have the ability to properly use this right.
Students tend to take into account a variety of factors when choosing a lecturer, such as the lecturer’s personality and his/her teaching style, the lecturer’s academic background and teaching experience, and the lecturer’s reputation among students. Sometimes even the teacher’s sex, age, voice, and appearance might affect the students’decision, and obviously some of these factors have no logical relations with teaching quality.
There are both positive and negative aspects to empower students with the right to choose their lecturers. On the one hand, it encourages them to take greater responsibility and get more actively involved with the learning process, and also put pressure on teachers to improve their teaching quality. However, some factors that students consider might be the ones that promote the improvements of teaching quality of education. The students might end up with lecturers who teach interesting classes without much content.
6. My Views on Email
Today more and more people are turning from letter writing to e-mail. They believe that e-mail is much more convenient and far faster than regular letters. This is certainly true. Within a few minutes, the friend or colleague can read the letter without having to wait for days to receive it.
But many people still prefer writing letters on real paper, using envelopes. They think letter writing on paper offers a real feeling of the sender’s emotions. And by touching the letter and reading the words the receiver can not only understand the sender’s ideas, but also peep into his or her mind. It is a solid communication.
In my opinion, people can make use of the advantages of both e-mail and letter writing. For business they can employ e-mail for the benefit of fast speed, and for private business they can turn to letter writing, in which they can convey what they love.
