国家会议中心用“金牌标准”服务国际标准化组织盛会

From September 10 to 14， The 39th General ISO Assembly was held in Beijing at China National convention Center. The president Xi Jinping sent messages to congratulate the assembly. The International Organization for Standardization （ISO） is an international standard-setting body composed of representatives from various national standards organizations. Founded in 1947， the organization promotes worldwide proprietary， industrial and commercial standards. Members meet annually at a General Assembly to discuss ISO’s strategic objectives. It is the second meeting of the General Assembly held in China. The last one was held 17 years ago in 1999.

2016年9月12日，第39届国际标准化组织（ISO）大会开幕式在国家会议中心举行。国家主席习近平发贺信，向大会表示热烈祝贺。本届大会是由国家质量监督检验检疫总局、中国国家标准化管理委员会、北京市人民政府共同承办，是继1999年后，时隔17年中国再次承办国际标准最顶级盛会。

ISO是世界上规模最大、最权威的综合性国际标准组织，拥有163个成员（国家和地区），其制定的2万多项国际标准在构建全球治理体系和服务国际贸易中发挥着重要的技术规制作用。来自国际电工委员会（IEC）、国际电信联盟（ITU）、世界贸易组织（WTO）、联合国工业发展组织（UNIDO）、国际铁路联盟（UIC）、世界钢铁协会（WORLDSTEEL）、联合国贸易与发展会议（UNCTAD）、国际民用航空组织（ICAO）等14个国际组织以及欧洲、泛美、亚太等区域标准化组织的近700名代表齐聚国家会议中心，围绕“标准促进世界互联互通”的大会主题展开讨论。
