①play后面跟乐器时,需要用定冠词the。例如:I can play the guitar.我会弹吉他。He likes playing the drum.他喜欢打鼓。

2.speak English说英语

【重点注释】①speak的意思是“说话”,作及物动词时,意为“说(某种语言)”,其后的宾语为某种语言。例如:Does he speak English?他会说英语吗?

注意:say it in English意思是“用英语说它”,注意此处不要用speak。in English “用英语”,如:What’s this in English?Please say it in English.

②speak作不及物动词时,意思是“说话”,通常指说话的能力和方式;还可表示“作演讲,发言”之意。例如:The child can’t speak.这个孩子不会说话。Would you like to speak at the meeting?你要在会上发言吗?The teacher allows me to speak in the classroom. 老师允许我在教室里说话。I don’t like to speak like this .我不喜欢这样说话。He is speaking to his sister.他在和他妹妹说话(speak to sb.和……说话)。

4.Can you draw?你会画画吗?

②并列连词or的用法:1)or用于否定句中,来连接并列成分,表示“和,与”之意。例如:The baby is too young.He can’t speak or walk.婴儿太小,他不会说话,也不会走路。He hasn’t any brothers or sisters.他没有兄弟和姐妹。注意:肯定句中应用并列连词and,在把含有and的肯定句改为否定句时,要把连词and 改为or。例如:The students sing and dance in the park.学生们在公园里唱歌跳舞。→The students don’t sing or dance in the park. 学生们没有在公园里唱歌跳舞。2)or意为“否则,要不然”,用于句型“祈使句,or+一般将来时的陈述句”结构中。例如:Get up early,or you’ll miss the train.你要早点起床,要不然就赶不上火车了。Hurry up,or you’ll be late for school.赶快,否则你会上学迟到。
